Will EPL Matchday 34 make a difference in the title race?

Liverpool and Manchester City's rival doesn't end in the Uefa Champions league even though we aren't certain about the teams that would reach the final, it could be any team and as long as they are still in the competition, we can still refer to them as rivals.

Liverpool eliminated Manchester City in the FA Cup final and we can agree that their rivalry this season has been exceptional, as it stands both teams are in a hot chase after the 2021/22 Premier league title. With one point difference between the two teams and five matches left, we can assume that we might still see lots of drama in the league because a single error can cost each of the teams the title.

This weekend is another one for both teams to secure their dreams of wearing the league crown and both teams would be playing away in this weekend's fixtures, Liverpool will play away against Newcastle while Manchester City will face Leeds United.

It would be a terrible thing to say that the title contenders are playing with small clubs in the league because there aren't small clubs anymore and we have seen how the likes of Crystal Palace and others got at least a point playing against these sides.

Newcastle United vs Liverpool

Newcastle has taken a new shape under the reign of the new owner, the team is doing great, and seeing them in the 9th position has shown how much they have grown and I wouldn't be surprised to see them competing for a Uefa spot in the coming season.

They have improved as a team and might pose a threat to Liverpool judging from the fact that they haven't lost at home for quite some time, their last 10 games ended with 7 wins which is a good statistic for the club. They lost against Liverpool at Anfield and Jurgen Klopp will be looking forward to bagging another three points, Liverpool is in better form to win the match but it is football and sometimes prediction doesn't count since the result would be judged on the field.

Liverpool has been the best side in their previous meetings and they might just go on to win this as well, Liverpool has a bigger course than the home team so we should be expecting the coach to give his best strategy to win the game early so he can rest his best legs ahead of the Uefa Champions League.

Leeds United vs Manchester City

The humiliation Leeds suffered in the first leg of their encounter with Manchester City was the first thing that came to my mind when I saw the fixtures, Leeds conceded seven times without scoring one, and with Manchester City's eyes on the title, they could go on to tear down Leeds again.

Manchester City has been a thorn in the flesh for the small clubs in the league, just last week they scored 5 times against Watford and they could go on to do the same against Leeds today. Only Manchester City knows what it feels like to be at the top of the table and they won't want to drop for any reason.

Losing against City could drag Leeds into the Relegation battle and that could be a source of motivation for the team, we saw them defeat Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium last season and anything could happen but the chances of Leeds getting something out of the match is slim.

Can there be changes or an upset in those teams fixture today?

I think if anything would happen, it might be from the Newcastle vs Liverpool encounter because of how the home team has transformed in recent times, and for Manchester City, they could go to win with multiple goals. Despite the determination all the teams would be bringing to the table, I will definitely tip the big boys to win because that would make the title race more interesting as it approaches the end.

With Liverpool and Manchester City participating in the Champions League, I think fatigue can be a major concern but the coaches have been able to rotate the team successfully and are grinding out results at all costs. The two teams would be traveling to Spain next week for the second leg fixture of their Uefa Champions League Semifinals.
