My Actifit Report Card: April 30 2023

In order to boost up the local economy after suffer the COVID period the Hong Kong government is organising a series of incentives and events, for example The 2023 Consumption Voucher Scheme, where all Hong Kong residents and new arrival aged 18 or above are elegible to get HK$5000(US$636) divided in two instalments one in April HK$3000 and another part in August HK$2000.

Apart from this incentive the Hong Kong government also create the initiative of HK$30 ticket for all cinemas for Saturday the 29th of April, the tickets was sold out within few hours and people can enjoy to watch their favourite movie on this date.

Another things done from the Hong Kong government was to organised a food festival which was called “Hong Kong gourmet Marketplace” where some local restaurants or shops opened their booth to offer their food to the public.

The tickets was given in the 18 districts offices across Hong Kong where people could got their tickets for their family members.

The food festival was carried out on Saturday the 29th and Sunday the 30th of April in The Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre located in Wain Chai district.

This food event was divided in four categories:

• Local flavours

• Chinese cuisines

• International flavours

• Youth corners

I had the chance to come to see this food festival and try some foods and buy some preserves foods, but it was quite crowded as expected.

I have enjoyed the food festival because you could try some foods free of charge, for example some snacks and wine.

Also there were some local chefs shows their expertise preparing some local dishes and the audience tastes them, only that they have to queue to get try the dishes.

Overall, the event was well organised, however, the food prices was a little quite expensive than you can see outside at any restaurant but I think is fine because this is a way to support those shops owners or restaurants who suffer during the COVID period where many restaurants or shop closed down because the business was not good.
