My Actifit Report Card: February 5 2024 ⛄️ Snow Forecasts / 雪予報

Today, snow was forecast to fall in Tokyo in the afternoon. It was also supposed to snow quite heavily, so I ran a few errands before it fell. The photo below shows the aloe flower at the end of its life.

First, I went to the nearest post office to withdraw cash and pay the resident's tax... I inserted my passbook into the ATM to pay by Pay-easy (a payment method using a payment slip at an ATM), but somehow it came back... I asked at the counter and was told that there was a scribble in a ballpoint pen on a blank page and that this might be causing the error.

It was drawn when my second son was 1 or 2 years old, and I didn't realize that I would be troubled by it over time😅I had the bankbook carried over to a new one and paid the resident tax over the counter.

After that, I went to the convenience store to put the empty plastic bottles in the recycling bin. Then I headed to the drugstore on that leg of the trip. I bought tissue paper, toothbrushes, and other necessary items.

On my way home, I saw a snow plow sprinkled at the entrances of a vocational school and a public facility in the district. When I got home, I looked at my smartphone and laughed when I saw a safety confirmation notice from the company where I work part time. It was not a safety confirmation that required a response, but rather a reminder to be careful not to fall down on the way to work.

It may seem a bit funny to people from countries or regions where it snows a lot, but Tokyo rarely gets snow, so I somehow get the sense that Tokyo residents are excited about snow.

It started snowing a few hours ago. It is a watery snow that melts as soon as it touches the ground. So far there is no sign of accumulation, but we will see what will happen over the night. I have a part time shift tonight, a little over 2 hours. We had a little warm night last week and there were a lot of customers in the store then.... I was upset that there was a line at the register.

After all, people may want to go out when the weather gets warmer. Tonight is very cold so I may be free... I hope I will be free!

The number of steps exceeded 6,000, mainly in the morning activities.

今日の東京は午後から雪の予報で、それもかなりの大雪になるとのことだったので、降る前に幾つかの用事を済ませてきました。写真は終わりかけのアロエの花です。

まずは最寄りの郵便局へ行き、現金の引き出しと住民税の支払いをしました。Pay-easy（ペイジー）で払おうと思いATMに通帳を挿入するも、どういうわけか戻ってきてしまいます…　窓口で尋ねたところ、空白のページにボールペンの落書きがあり、そのせいでエラーが起こるのではないかとのことでした。

次男が1～2歳の頃に書いたものですが、時を経て困らされることになるとは😅通帳は新しいものに繰り越してもらい、住民税は窓口で支払いました。

その後、空のペットボトルをコンビニのリサイクルボックスに入れに行き、その足でドラッグストアへ。ティッシュペーパーや歯ブラシなど、必要なものを買いました。

帰り道、専門学校や区の公共施設の入り口に除雪剤が撒かれているのを見かけました。さらに家に帰ってスマホを見ると、パート先の会社から安否確認の通知が入っていて笑ってしまいました。「安否確認」と言っても回答が必要なものではなく、出勤時に転ばないよう気をつけてきてね、という注意喚起でしたが。

雪がたくさん降る国や地方の人からすればやや滑稽かもしれませんが、東京は滅多に雪が降らないので、何となく都民が全体的に張り切っているような雰囲気を感じます。

数時間前から雪が降り始めました。が、地面に触れるなり溶けてしまうような水っぽい雪です。今のところ積もっている様子はありませんが、夜にかけてどうなるでしょう。今夜はパート先のシフトが入っています。先週ちょっと暖かい夜があって、その時はお客さん多かったんですよね…。レジに行列ができて慌てました。やはり人間、暖かくなると出歩きたくなるのでしょう。ということは今夜はとても寒いので、暇かも…　暇だといいな！

歩数は主に午前中の活動で5,000歩を越えました。
