My Actifit Report Card: March 13 2024 📝 Final Tax Return / 確定申告

This year, my tax return was filed just in time.

The reason is that I was too lazy to start calculating my cryptocurrency profit and loss. To be honest, I didn't make much profit last year and no one would notice if I didn't file. However, I may become very rich in a few years (🤣), and when I do, I don't want anyone to point out my past failure to file a tax return. I started to do the calculations little by little from the end of February, thinking that I would become a millionaire without any worries in the future. And somehow, I finished filing my tax return yesterday.

Tax returns are usually filed between February 16 and March 15, but if you file electronically using e-Tax, you can do so even before February 15. I would like to end this time to start the calculation at the last minute, and next year I would like to file my tax return right after the beginning of the year. I think I'll try to enter the previous month's transactions and complete the calculations at the beginning of each month.

Well...my tax return is done, but my husband's is not yet. He made the terrible mistake last year of going to a drinking party on March 14, got drunk, and dropped his wallet somewhere in the streets of Shinjuku. In the wallet was his ID card needed to file his tax return. Therefore, he could not file his tax return electronically and had to file it at the tax office on the closing date, which reduced his deductions by 100,000 yen.... He has not finished filing his tax return this year, and he is going to a drinking party both today and tomorrow. I wonder if he will be alright…

Today I went to the ward office to confirm the amount of National Health Insurance premiums my husband paid last year. As for the National Health Insurance, we only receive a notice of the amount paid and a payment slip in the spring, and we usually do not receive a notice of the actual amount paid. Our family switched from National Health Insurance to Company Health Insurance around the fall, and since there was a refund of the premiums once paid, the exact amount was slightly uncertain. Since getting a written notice is the best way to be sure, I decided to go directly to the ward office to get it.

It was a very windy day and I saw bicycles placed in the bicycle parking lot of the ward office crashing and falling over. Although I could not see it, I could also feel a large amount of cedar pollen flying around. Fortunately, I was able to have the documents issued right away and left the ward office without much waiting.

Recently, Tokyo has been experiencing rain, strong winds, and other weather conditions that are quite challenging for Actifitters. Although I feel like I walked more (maybe because of the headwind), my step count for today was 8,000 steps!

今年は確定申告がギリギリになってしまいました。

原因は、暗号資産の損益計算が面倒で、なかなか着手しなかったから…　正直昨年は大した利益はなく、申告しなくても誰も気づかないだろうというレベルです。が、もしかしたら数年後に大金持ちになる可能性がないわけじゃないし😂😂大金持ちになった時に、過去に無申告でつつかれたりしてもイヤだし。。。将来気持ちよく大金持ちになるためだ！と自分を奮い立たせ、2月末から少しずつ入力を始めました。

そして何とか、昨日申告を終えました。

確定申告は通常2月16日～3月15日ですが、e-Taxを利用した電子申告であれば、2月15日以前からでもできるんですよね。ギリギリに重い腰を上げて計算を始めるのは今回で終わりにして、来年は年明けすぐに申告するようにしたいです。毎月月初に、前月分の入力を済ませるようにしようかな。

さて・・我が家には私以上のギリギリマンがおりまして、夫はまだ確定申告が終わっていません。彼は昨年、3月14日に飲みに行き、酔っ払って新宿の街のどこかで財布ごとマイナンバーカードを落としてくるという大失態を演じました。そのため電子申告ができず、〆切当日に税務署の窓口で申告することとなり、控除額が10万円も減ってしまうという・・・。今年も確定申告が終わっていない状態で、今日・明日と連日飲み会だそうです。大丈夫なんだろうか・・・。流石に今日は、マイナンバーカードは家に置いていったようですが。

今日は区役所へ、昨年夫が支払った国民健康保険料の額を確認しに行きました。国保については春に納付額の通知と納付書が届くのみで、支払った額のお知らせは届きません。我が家は秋ごろに国保から社保に切り替わり、一旦納付した保険料の還付などもあったため、正確な金額が微妙に分からなかったようです。書面を貰うのが一番確かなので、直接区役所へりに行くことにしました。

とても風が強い日で、役所の駐輪場に置かれた自転車がガシャガシャと音を立てて倒れるのを見ました。目には見えないものの、スギ花粉が大量に舞っているのも感じます。幸い書類はすぐに発行してもらうことができ、それほど待つことなく区役所を後にしました。

最近の東京は、雨だったり、強風だったり、Actifitterにはなかなか厳しい気候が続いています。体感的にはもっと歩いたような気がするけれど（向かい風のせいかな）、今日の歩数は8,000歩でした。
