PARIS SAINT GERMAIN VS REAL MADRID ANALYSIS

Yesterday was the start of the round of 16 ties in the UEFA Champions league with Paris Saint Germain hosting 13 times UEFA Champions league winners Real Madrid in Paris. The first half started pretty well with an absolute domination by the French Giants, Real Madrid was forced back into their own half of the pitch, defending tirelessly to ensure PSG attacking force could not a way. The likes of Parades and Veratti offered PSG the needed balance in midfield while Leo Messi and Kylian Mbappe searched for various way to break the defensive structure of Real Madrid, but all efforts proved abortive as the first half ended in a 0-0.

The second half started off after 15 mins break with real Madrid struggling to find their perfect attacking rhythm, PSG had dominated the game completely leaving Real Madrid with zero shots on target while they had eight shouts. I perceived that Real Madrid tactics was to sit back and wait for counter attack but that didn't work as the possession of the game could show that too. PSG had a total of 60% , leaving 40% for Real Madrid. The breakthrough finally came for PSG as Mbappe won a penalty but it was missed by the Argentine Leo Messi which sparked alot of controversies and bants on Social Media especially when Cristiano Ronaldo scored a minute later after Messi's penalty miss. The Brazilian Neymar was finally introduced after a long period of missing club football, during the closing minutes of the match, the Magician Kylian Mbappe scored a beautiful solo goal to make up for Messi's penalty miss and fire PSG into a deserved victory
The man of the match was Kylian Mbappe.

MANCHESTER UNITED VS BRIGHTON ANALYSIS

In the English Premier league, Brighton travelled to the Theatre of Dreams to face Manchester United. This match was expected to be a must win for Manchester United as they struggled in recent times to maintain a world class team performance. It took the brilliance of the Portuguese players namely Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes to fire pass Brighton after a very poor first half game. The game ended with 2-0
