these are weekly awards and they are not all based on talent, we also have cash rewards for whoever does poorest compared to how they actually bowl. It's just 1 to 5 thousand VND which is basically spare change that everyone has a ton of on a shelf in their houses.
In our group there are about half of the people that take it seriously and half that are there just for the social aspect of it all. I am kind of a mix of both. I do get upset when I do poorly but I'm not gonna get all worked up about it.

That makes a lot of sense. I think a lot of the older people on the league we were on took it way too seriously. Looking back, I was mostly just there to drink.
