RE: I bowl a 181, but it wasn't enough

oooh... you have your own gear! That's pretty special over here because most of us are not permanent residents and a bowling ball eats up your luggage allowance pretty fast. If you do go, I would be very curious how much it is. I'd be willing to bet that it is a tad more than $4 for 2 hours :P

Oh yeah, bowling over here is pretty bad. This is the only alley left in the town I grew up in:

Looks like $16-$24 per hour or $4 to $5 per person per game on the weekends.

Well that is actually a lot less than I thought it would be. I hope you get to go because I wonder what the standards are like

I was looking at an alley down by my nephews to take them tomorrow night and the price is $30 per hour with a max of five people on a lane.

put as few people on the lane as possible... that way you get more for your money.

We ended up taking them to indoor go-karts instead. They loved it.

well i can certainly understand why someone young would prefer that. The problem I have with most of the go-Kart operations that I have ever used is that some of the karts simply have better functioning engines and if you are lucky enough to end up sitting on that one, you are going to win.

I can see where that could be an issue. It was potentially the case here too, but I think the lack of skill by both of my nephews made that a moot point. They seriously looked terrified the first couple of laps around the track.
