Palm trees in the storm! 🌴🌫🌬😬: January 25th 2022

Did you have a good Tuesday? I hope so! 😊

It was another busy day for me. J&B had run out of dog food and I had a discount coupon for his brand for once. So instead of buying it at the corner shop. We went up to our usual supermarket to buy it cheaper even though it would mean carrying it a lot further and 4 kilos would feel like 10 kilos by the time we got home. Only we were surprised to see our usual supermarket was closed! There was no sign explaining why either, so I guess they must have caught Covid! 😕

He still needed food though and the corner shop owner had just closed, (I knew because he drove past and waved at me) so instead we went further away to the next supermarket that had just reopened after changing ownership again. I went in hoping they would have his brand even if it meant paying full price. Luckily they did, although not the 4 kilo bag, just the 10 kilo one! This was going to be fun to carry home in the storm! 🌫🌬😬

On our way home, a teenager noticed me carrying the dog food (which was bigger than my dog! lol) in front of me with both arms and offered to help! I replied that I had to go all the way to the centre of the town, she said that she had time and didn't mind! It was really sweet of her but I kindly declined! Anyway it would probably have been harder to transport sideways between the two of us. A block down the road, a friends café was open and since my mission to buy dog food was accomplished, I decided to stop to say hello. When I put the sack of dog food down it ripped at the bottom on the corner of the wall and the dog biscuits started pouring out, my dog was delighted, I wasn't!!! Luckily my friend had some tape and I managed to fix the hole in the sack, otherwise there would have been no dog food left by the time we got home! After that we got home with no more incidents, well apart from dead arms!!! 🐶😬

This photo gives you an idea of what the weather was like, apart from the wind, I had to wait a few minutes for a second without wind, so that the photo wouldn't lose focus, but the palm tress were really bending! 🌴🌫🌬😬
