Costs of paper. How much at your place?

Assalamu Alaikum! How are you? Hopefully, you are having a fantastic time. I am fine as well. Here is the actifit report on the 5th of Feb, 2023. It is on Sunday.

Nowadays, I am kinda busy with studies, courses and chamber practice. For one of the courses, I need to print the lecture note from PDFs. One of my relatives has a printer in his office. He agreed to help me print the PDFs. So, I went to a book/paper store. There I got some new information on different kinds of papers.

I was searching for an A4 size 80 GSM paper. The shopkeeper had that paper from 3 different companies. The price of 500 papers was 410, 420 and 430 BDT ( Bangladeshi Taka). I decided to buy the best one from this group. So I spent 430 BDT (3.95 USD) for 500 pieces of A4 paper.

Do you know the price of a similar type of paper at your place? How much does it cost? Is it affordable or high? Is it lower than mine or higher?

After purchasing the papers, I went to the relative's office, printed some pages from the available PDFs and returned home. I took the following pictures after the evening.

It is definately more expensive here in the UK at £6.95 for the same paper and amount which is also one of the cheaper prices which works out about $8.60 give or take a penny.

I see. Looks like were still in better position. However, the price of every product is rising fast. So, our price will keep going up in the coming years.

Great to see you are once again back on Hive Hafiz, and I am not sure what paper costs right now, it has gone up in price though, is there a particular reason that you need to print out the PDF and not just use the PDF to read from?

First, the teacher who provided us with the PDF recommended having hard copies in our hands (even though we paid a big amount of money, they didn't give any hard copy lecture sheets!!).

Second, during lectures, the teacher gives us extra information not found on the sheet. Hence, we add those in the hard copy. It is troublesome to add those on the PDF.

Third, the volume of the PDF/Lecture sheets is huge. Before exams, it is not feasible to revise from mobile/tablet/computer rapidly.

I think it's a good price if they are good quality. Here they are more expensive if they are of the best quality, I mean, for hand writing purposes in a very formal way. If they are good quality but only for common purposes then the price it's quite similar.

Printing paper here is usually pretty cheap and easily affordable, though prices on most things have been increasing quite quickly. It's great that you were able to buy the paper that you needed and print out the PDFs that you needed! Excellent! Happy new week! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Excellent activity, in my country a row of HP A4 paper costs $5.00, I think it is quite expensive, before I used to buy the whole ream, now I buy 1/2.

Average quality paper costs $6.60 for 500 sheets where I usually buy them. They also have "environmentally friendly high quality printer-paper" for $11.32. I doubt it's any better or more eco-friendly than the cheaper kind though. Anything with an eco label automatically costs twice as much, even if it's from the same factory. Checking a price-comparison website, the kind I buy was the cheapest, and prices went as high as $25 for some brands. 🙀

I don't recall when I last bought printer paper, but I have a feeling it was a lot cheaper only a few years ago. Luckily we don't need to print things out very often!

Glad to see you posting again! I get my paper on Amazon, I purchase the big box of reams, usually 4000 sheets at a time. I don't know what I payed, but I remember it wasn't too bad a price in bulk.
