A Scottish company, MacRebur, has proven that sometimes the problem becomes the solution. They convert plastic waste into small pellets, then use those pellets to build a road — which is 60% stronger than regular asphalt and can last up to 10 times longer.
You might not believe it — just 1 kilometer of road uses 6,84,000 plastic bottles, or the equivalent of 1.8 million bags of plastic waste! This initiative doesn't just give us a strong road — it teaches us that we can build a sustainable future with discarded items if we want. Where plastic pollution is reduced, nature is saved, and we get roads — that last a long time. Companies like MacRebur are proving that, Science is never just confined to the lab — it works in the dust of the ground, for the needs of people.
