I just checked, one can create games in lichess without time constraints, lichess even tags them "correspondence".
have not tried it yet but willing to give the concept a go.

@hannes-stoffel you should get my challenge. Just set a casual one with 2 days limit per move. we can try it out for a few days and in parallel we can draft a call to action. I remain @brijwhiz on lichess too.
