Huge NFL Trade!

I'm going to start this by being brutally honest. In the interest of full disclosure, I absolutely despise Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. I find him a slimy, irritating, blowhard who truly has a plantation mentality about his sports team. he is so arrogant that he thinks he is a smarter general manager than people who have made the game of football their life. As a result, I love it when Jerry Jones is miserable. I hope today is one of those times when he cries himself to sleep on his giant pillow made of money.

Today, Jerry Jones took a huge "L" and I could not be happier. After bragging for weeks that he was the smartest man alive and Micah Parsons would come crawling back to the Cowboys, Parsons won the pissing contest with Jerry Jones. I am beside myself with joy! Micah Parsons is one of the ten best players in the NFL. He is also one of the top three defensive players in the NFL. Jerry Jones wanted to keep that thoroughbred in his stable (pretty much literally when you talk about Jerry Jones). He thought he had done so when he went around Parsons' agent to speak directly with Micah Parsons in the off-season. Jones thought he was so smart by not allowing Parsons to have a trained, professional negotiator in the room while he fleeced Parsons. But Parsons outsmarted Jones. Instead of accepting a contract without the advice of an expert, he basically said, that was a cool talk and all, but I don't make deals without an expert.

If I have learned anything from watching Law and Order, it is to always get the advice of a legal expert before doing anything. None of us make a $100,000 decision, like buying a house, without consulting a lawyer. Yet Jones is all bent out of shape for Parsons to want to consult an expert for a 188 MILLION DOLLAR deal. Would Jones make a $188 million land deal without consulting a lawyer? Not even he is arrogant enough to do that. And yet he wanted Parsons to do that. What a douche.

So in the end, Jones had to admit he fucked up and cut bait. Today he traded Micah Parsons, one of the most feared pass rushers in the league, to the Green bay Packers for a 29 year old defensive tackle, and two first round picks. This is nothing like the Hershel Walker-like haul many predicted the Cowboys would get. It is true the DT they got, Kenny Clark, is a three-time Prow Bowler, but he is not the game plan-wrecker that Parson is. And two first round picks would be nice... if they weren't sent to the now NFC Championship game favorite. Those picks will be very low.

There is no way Jones got equal value for Micah Parsons and I honestly could not be happier. It's true my Chicago Bears' biggest rival just got stronger, but they only have to play them twice per year. I had no delusions of the Bears winning the division this year. All the Bears need to do is be one of the best seven teams in the NFC, and they have a fighting chance. So to be honest, I am doing victory laps because this does little to impact the Bears while making Jerry Jones look like the moron he is.

I truly feel bad for Cowboys fans. When I was a kid the Cowboys were my 3rd favorite team. But since that egomaniac Jones took control of the team, it is impossible to root for them. I hope Cowboys fans get out of NFL Hell soon... just not before the Bears.

If there is one team I hate as much or more than the cowboys it's the packers, so I can't say I am happy about this. I guess we will see how it works out for us Lions fans in about a week.

Looks like Jerry Jones thought he was playing chess, but Parsons showed him he was only playing checkers. A proper slap in the face for Jones 👏

It seems that he doesn't like Mr. Jones very much, but well, the main idea was to perhaps save a lot of money, but the truth is that the player was smarter and didn't sign since he knows about his talent and that he can get much more than what they offered him for the renewal of his contract.

It's complicated when an owner wants to be in everything and not let the general manager do his job and well, those things happen, he fails in the conversations and I imagine that on a whim he lets him go even knowing how difficult it will be to replace him but well as he says he is an egomaniac but good for the player by not signing anything without his legal representative being present very well

Big move! Parsons going to the Packers is a great deal. The Cowboys really got hurt, the Packers got stronger.

The most sad thing is for the fans who love their favorite team and some players do not perform properly due to the fight between the players and also due to the low amount of money they receive

Wow, what a wild trade! I can see why you’re happy about it, especially as a Bears fan. Feels like a big win for your side and a tough loss for Jerry Jones.
