Today's article 7 different types of crimes
7 different types of crimes
A crime is defined as any act that is against the rules or regulations. There are many different types of crime
Crimes against individuals
Crimes against people, also known as personal crimes, include murder, increasing attacks, rape and robbery. Personal crimes are unequally distributed among young, urban, poor, and ethnic minorities in the United States, and most often affected by these crimes, and whites, middle, and upper class people are arrested for them.
Crimes against property
Property crimes include theft of property without bodily harm, such as burglary, auto theft and arson. Like personal crimes, young urban poor and ethnic minorities are more likely to be arrested for these crimes than others.
Hate crimes
Hate crimes are crimes against individuals or property that are committed on the basis of race or gender identity, religion, disability, sexual orientation or racism. Hate crime rates in the United States have been relatively stable over the years, but there have been some incidents that have led to an increase in hate crimes. Hate crimes have increased since the 2016 election of Donald Trump.
Crimes against morality
Crimes against morality are also called baseless crimes because no one complains or becomes a victim. Prostitution, illegal gambling, and drug abuse are all examples of homelessness
White collar crime
White collar crimes are crimes committed by people of high social standing who commit their crimes in the context of their occupation. These include embezzlement (stealing money from one's employer), internal trade, tax evasion, and other violations of income tax laws.
Organized crime
Organized crime is committed by organized groups, which usually involve the distribution and sale of illicit goods and services. Many people think of the mafia when they think of organized crime, but the term can refer to any group that runs large illegal businesses (such as the drug trade, illegal gambling, prostitution). , Arms smuggling, or money laundering)
The social view of crime
Arrest statistics show a clear pattern of arrests by race, sex and class. For example, as mentioned above, young, urban, poor and ethnic minorities are more likely to be arrested and convicted than others for personal and property crimes. For economists, the data raises the question of whether it reflects the real differences in crime between different groups, or whether it reflects discrimination against the criminal justice system.
