REMEMBERING CHILDHOOD DAYS WITH KIDS RIDING THEIR BIKES ON STREET

Anytime I see kids riding their bikes all over the streets, I get so nostalgic and remember my childhood day when I and my brother will fight for whose turn it was to ride the only bicycle we had back then. I remember giving up most times because I was the eldest and you get the "leave it for your younger brother". But looking back I enjoyed every bit of it and I am glad I had the opportunity of having cycling as part of my childhood experience. Unlike now when most parents cannot afford to buy one because the price is so outrageous and no more renting around here.

It was a fateful day when my dad's elderly friend called him that we should come over the house to see him. On getting there we found out that he was cleaning out the store when he saw the bicycle his kids used when they were little and he gifted it to us. All we did was pump the tires because it was a really strong bike and still clean. We were so happy that day because we have always wished to Own a bike but then we were getting the "you have to get straight As".

We had fun just like I see these kids having. They literally do everything with their bikes like they are scared of putting it down for a minute. Their mother has shouted and shouted for them to do their house chores but it all fell on deaf ears. When these kids ride their bikes, you see other children looking at them in desperation wishing they can ride for a minute. The country is really experiencing an economic downturn and things has gone so expensive that a bicycle cost times 3 of what it used to be back then.

I will still try my hands in cycling and see if I still have that fire in me. Now I know why kids are so energetic because all their plays have a way of exercising their bodies and make them fit and healthy. Very soon I will try a bigger bike.

Thanks for stopping by my blog...

Haha it's funny how we the eldest children have to leave for our younger ones even when we don't want to 😅

At least you had fun with the only bicycle you guys had. That's a good memory to reminisce about.

You didn't give a source to the image you used, you might want to correct that 🙂
