Ansu Fati takes on Messi's number 10 jersey
Lionel Messi is past in Barcelona, and thus a long and touching story is over. Therefore, one might also think that the club would choose to preserve the Argentine world star's number so that no other players would be able to carry number 10 in the club in the future.
This is not the case, however, and now Barcelona have chosen to pass on the shirt number to the great talent Ansu Fati, who they see as the next big world star in the club.
The club thus confirms on social media that young Fati will in future carry number 10 on his back, and thus he will also be the heir from Lionel Messi.
Ansu Fati is just 18 years old. Still, he has already made his mark in Barcelona, where he has already played 43 games for the club's first team and made 13 goals and five assists.
