Brazil v Argentina game alted
A huge scandal has hit South American football. One of the most iconic national team clashes, Brazil against Argentina, was to take place at Arena Corinthians in Sao Paulo on Sunday night, but only managed to get started before it stopped again.
After five minutes of play of the showdown, Brazilian health authorities suddenly stood on the field and stopped the match as they were unhappy that a handful of Argentine Premier League players had entered the country illegally, several media outlets write.
Police do not believe the Argentine Premier League players have complied with the strict rules surrounding corona, which is from traveling from England to the South American continent.
There was a riot on the pitch and the Argentine players were sent to the locker room and meanwhile there was intense discussion on the sidelines, including between the two national coaches and Lionel Messi and Neymar.
The four Argentine players in question are Emiliano Martinez, Emiliano Buendia, Giovani Lo Cels and Cristian Romero, who all play in the Premier League on a daily basis.
The match was suspended after an hour of speculation and discussions, and it is now up to FIFA to find out what is going to happen.
