Manchester United traded in October into the Italian big club Atalanta, where they secured the signature of 18-year-old great talent Amad Diallo in a deal that sent the Ivorian to the Premier League on 1 January. Now Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini says Diallo may only change after this season.

There is an internal solution in games, which can be very useful. Amad Diallo of course. It is obvious that Manchester United owns him, but he can also stay with us for a few months, Gasperini says according to TV2 Sport to Football Italia.

I really like him. He's only 18 years old and I wish he could stay through June, but that obviously depends on his club.

The reason why Atalanta should suddenly be interested in holding on to their young talent for a few more months is that the team's big star Alejandro 'Papu' Gomez has fallen into disfavor with the coach. According to TV2 Sport, it started in the Champions League match against FC Midtjylland, where the player came up to be topped with Gasperini. Since then, there have been several controversies, and now Gomez is completely frozen out of the squad. And since Amad Diallo - like Gomez - can play in most offensive positions, he will be an obvious successor to the aging Argentine captain.
