Official: Alexander Pato join MLS

There were rumors that Alexandre Patos' move to MLS and Orlando City SC was only a matter of time. More firewood was thrown on the fire when the club from Florida posted a picture of a duck on Twitter, as Pato in Portuguese means duck. The club has just confirmed on their website that the Brazilian has signed a contract for the rest of the year.

To the club's website, Sports Director Luiz Muzzi states the following:

We are pleased to welcome Pato to Orlando. He has played for some of the world's biggest clubs and he has proven himself at the highest level. The experience Pato brings with him will be invaluable to the club. Pato is a player of high caliber and we are happy to add another excellent player up front.

Alexandre Pato made his breakthrough in European football during his time at AC Milan. Subsequently, the striker has been in a number of clubs, which include: Corinthians, Sao Paulo, Chelsea, Villareal and Tianjin
