Real Madrid's season ended when Manchester City dispatched the Spanish capital club out of the Champions League. Thus, it was obviously time to take stock of the big club, where the economic crisis is raging.

According to Marca, the Real Madrid players gathered for a meeting where the club's CEO Jose Angel Sanchez spoke to the players. The speech was, among other things, that the director was satisfied with Real Madrid's season - even though the European adventure ended so abruptly.

Sanchez also took the opportunity to confirm the departure of PSG tenant Alphonse Areola and his return to the French capital club. Real Madrid simply did not have the financial elbow room to make the lease permanent.

In addition, Sanchez also explained to his players that - due to the economic consequences of the corona crisis - no players will be brought to Real Madrid this summer. The only ones who will make their entrance at the Santiago Bernabeu this summer are Martin Odegaard, Dani Ceballos and Andriy Lunin.
