On Wednesday afternoon, Dortmund announced that they have made a deal with Real Madrid which will see the pure young offensive midfielder Reinier play for the German club next season on a two a two-year loan move that runs until the summer of 2022.

The negotiations have been publicly known for some time. On Friday, "Goal Brazil" began reporting that the two clubs had reached an agreement to send Reinier to the German club.

Dortmund have been keen to end the deal quickly as Bundesliga rivals Bayer Leverkusen have also shown interest in Reinier. However, Leverkusen would not make a bid until an agreement between the club, Kai Havertz and Chelsea had fallen into place. As this has not happened, Dortmund worked quickly, thus securing one of the greatest talents in the year 2020.

Reinier came to Real Madrid this winter, and has so far played for the B-team Castilla in the third best Spanish series. "Los Blancos" believes, however, that Reinier's development has the best of playing at a somewhat higher level, which he will have the opportunity for the next two seasons.

In the past, Real Madrid have also sent Achraf Hakimi on loan at Dortmund with great success. The defender was sold on to Inter this summer.
