The Premier League has yet to set a date for the resumption of the league, but the English government has publicly announced that no sporting, professional activities will take place before June 1. At least, according to Raheem Sterling, it will take some weeks of training before players are able to do their job properly. He tells the English newspaper The Guardian.

You can't come back after a week or two of training. You need four or five full weeks, especially if you have to go back in a competition that you are literally paid to win.

"You have to do that preparation - you can't just go straight into the field," Sterling told The Guardian in an interview on his Youtube channel.

Raheem Sterling and the remaining Manchester City squad are number two in the title race with Liverpool FC currently 25 points ahead.
