Theo Walcott is no longer part of the plans at Everton, who have had a good start to the Premier League this season, and therefore Walcott should reportedly be on his way back to his childhood club.

Sky Sports writes that Theo Walcott will soon have a deal in place with Southampton, which he represented from 2000 to 2006, when he switched to Arsenal. Everton and Southampton should have a loan in place where they each pay 50 per cent of Walcott's salary.

Theo Walcott's playing time at the Merseyside club has diminished since Carlo Ancelotti took over as manager. Last season it was just 25 games, and this season he has only had 12 minutes of playing time spread over four games in the Premier League.

31-year-old Theo Walcott has a contract with Everton until next summer, and it may therefore indicate that the Englishman has played his last game for the club. In total, there have been 85 matches with 11 goals and nine assists since he joined the club in 2017
