Hmm! What do I hear? I heard about the Rainbow Laces campaign in the premier league and I wondered what it was all about. You are going to see your favourite premier league players wearing rainbow laces playing football, the captains also are going to wear the captain's band containing rainbow colour and celebration is going to evolve throughout all premier league games till first of december.

The rainbow laces campaign is to help the young ones to speak up whenever they are abused or bullied. This bullying and abuse has surfaced the whole world and the premier league is launching a campaign to stop the abuse of young chlidren.
all the Premier league matches taking place from november 27 to december 2 will be dedicated to the campaign. this is to help children speak up, come out and tell people that wil help them to get out of the abuse.
I had a student who was abused by a 45 years old man. This young student could not speak up because the man threatened to kill her if she allowed anybody to hear about it. This young girl is always sad and doesn't like to talk to anyone. She doesn't talk and always stays alone.
There was a day I talked to her but she refused to open up to me, I had to send a female teacher to help her out. The female teacher said to her, “Dorcas, I want to become your best friend, would you allow me? And she replied ‘yes’. After weeks, the teacher asked her, ``Why are you always moody? She did not say anything because she was afraid of him. Until after the teacher said, “there is nothing i can not tell you about my life because you are my friend”.
Dorcas said to her teacher, “Please don’t tell anybody what I want to tell you today because he will kill me if he hears that I have told someone.
That was how the young lady speak up about the man that was molesting her sexually and the case was taken to Child Abuse Center and the man was taken to court. That was how the young girl was freed from sexual harrassment. Since then, any student that is harassed in my environment has the courage to speak up, and we have set the committees in the school to be in-charge of abuse cases.

Premier League is trying to build the confidence of young boys and girls in primary and secondary level to come out and report any abuse. It is good for young ones to know their rights in society and the campaign is to make them aware of it. This awareness will give them confidence to speak up whenever they are being abused.
There are different abuse going on across the planet, one of the abuse that is common in my area is physical abuse. There are so many stories where a child is physically abused, many children have been abused that resulted in injuries or even dead.
In my country, many people did not know that neglecting or not taking care of your child is abuse. Hadn’t be they not known, they would not have neglected their children.
There was a serious case in my school where a man refused to pay his child's tuition fees and also refused to supply his physical needs such as clothes, shoes, foods, and so on. We sent a letter to him and he said , “I don't want to see the child again because he refuses to do what I ask him to do”.
He never knew that depriving a child from his right is simply abuse the child. We made him understand the concept of ‘abuse’ and painted a scenario that made him understand it.
It will be of good help if premier league extend the campaign of child abuse to developing countries so that people can see and know what abuse is.
Children are seriously being abused, they should let the abusers know that is ‘wrong’ and abuse a child is a serious offense. You can’t be beating your child all the time because you are the biological father, and you have every right on your child.
Some of these children may not speak up because the abuser is among their relatives or their parents. Therefore, confidence should be instinct on children to speak up of whosoever abuse them.
