Hive FPL 25/26 season nearly here!

It's nearly time to welcome returning and new players to the Hive FPL 25/26 season.

While we don't know exactly when the Premier League will launch its 25/26 FPL season, if history repeats itself then it's likely to be very soon.

Both the 24/25 and 23/24 seasons kicked off in the middle of July on a Wednesday so hopefully we'll be able to set up the leagues very soon and start inviting you to join the Hive FPL shortly after.

This post then is as much a reminder of how we'll organise the leagues and in what order you can expect to join.

Important for all Hive FPL players

As always, in order to win the weekly and season prizes, you'll need a Hive account and you'll need to complete our form to link your FPL team with that Hive account.

I'll share the form in our next update to allow users to change their FPL team name for the new season if they want to before linking their account.

Step 1 - Head to Head Division 1 goes live

The same as the last couple of seasons, we'll be looking to get the top 20 players into the Division 1 H2H league before we open up the other leagues.

The 20 players (top 15 from Division 1 24/25 + top 5 from Division 2 24/25) will be given 5 days to join the league. Thereafter, if we don't have 20 players in the league we'll begin working down the list of reserves until we do.

I'd therefore anticipate it'll take about week to complete this step.

As a reminder these are the top 20 teams who'll be invited to play in Division 1.

The first 5 reserves to join Division 1 (in order) are as follows.

Step 2 - Head to Head Division 2 and Classic League go live

As soon as we close the Division 1 H2H league (should take 5-7 days) then we'll open both the Division 2 H2H and the Classic League.

These leagues are open to everyone to join whether you've played Hive FPL before or you're a new player. The only exception being those already in the Division 1 H2H can't join Division 2.
