For me, the trade was good for the Phoenix Suns, but let's just say not so good for the Houston Rockets. Certainly, if the Suns manage to get rid of Beal, it would be perfect. They could start a rebuild to become competitive again in three or four years. It's a shame about Haliburton in Game 7, but anyway, congratulations to OKC for their first NBA championship.

Normally I don't like it when a team deals for an aging star, burt the Rockets are unique. They have a bunch of #2 players and they need a stand out #1.
He may be a friend, but I think Durant can be that star for the Rockets. It raises many doubts in my mind, but only time will tell if it was the best option. If they wanted a real star, they could have gone for Giannis Antetokounmpo or maybe Trae Young, but, well, that was their choice.
