Every Sunday, I make a trip to the supermarket at noon to stock up on weekly groceries, and buying fruit is always a must. Bananas are my regular choice — they’re bulky, filling, and inexpensive. But this time, when I went back to the supermarket in the evening, I found bananas on special offer. The staff had bundled together single bananas that had scattered — though they didn’t look perfect, they tasted just the same. Back home, I compared: the ones outside the bag were bought at the regular price (I’d eaten three already) for 3 yuan, while the bag of discounted bananas cost only 2 yuan — what a steep discount, almost like paying sale price on a sale price! If only I’d come across the discounted ones at noon, I wouldn’t be feeling so regretful now!
