Eliminatorias sudamericanas
Entre los días 12 y 17 de octubre, es decir comenzando hoy, se llevarán a cabo las fechas 3 y 4 de las eliminatorias de los seleccionados nacionales inscriptos en la Conmebol para la disputa del próximo campeonato mundial de fútbol programado para jugarse en 2026 en México, Estados Unidos y Canadá, inaugurando el experimento de tener 3 países distintos encargados de la organización. Como ya he mencionado, sin esperar el resultado de si esta idea funciona, la FIFA ha redoblado literalmente la apuesta y ya anunció que el de 2030 se llevará a cabo en 6 países distintos, a saber: Uruguay, Argentina y Paraguay con un encuentro en cada país para luego trasladarse a Europa donde España, Portugal y Marruecos, este último en África se encargarán de los restantes partidos.
Volviendo a las fechas 3 y 4, en el día de hoy se desarrollarán los siguientes encuentros: Chile recibe a Perú en un partido donde ambos necesitan de forma urgente un triunfo ya que en dos fechas disputados solo cosechan 1 punto cada una de las dos selecciones. Brasil, uno de dos punteros invictos con 6 unidades recibe a Venezuela que tiene 3 puntos. Colombia (4) recibe a Uruguay (3). Bolivia recibe a Ecuador en un encuentro donde ambos marchan en la última posición sin puntos, alguno de las dos selecciones o ambas tendrán algún punto al finalizar el partido. Para finalizar, Argentina, el otro puntero e invicto con 6 unidades recibe a Paraguay, también muy necesitado por la magra cosecha de tan solo 1 punto en las dos primeras fechas.
La cuarta ronda se disputará apenas 5 días después con los siguientes encuentros: Venezuela vs. Chile, Paraguay vs. Bolivia, Ecuador vs. Colombia, Uruguay vs. Brasil en el partido más atrayente hasta el momento y Perú vs. Argentina.
Por Argentina todavía no está definido si su capitán y referente estará presente desde el comienzo o será preservado en el banco de suplentes preparado para ingresar si las condiciones del encuentro lo requieren. Messi arrastra una lesión desde la fecha uno de estas eliminatorias que le han impedido jugar desde entonces. El Inter de Miami fue el más perjudicado ya que el equipo se vio totalmente distinto al que arrasaba con el argentino en buena forma, perdió la final de la US Open Cup y luego quedó eliminado de los playoffs de la MLS.
En sentido contrario a lo que ocurrió con el Inter de Miami, Argentina no sintió para nada su ausencia en la segunda fecha de estas eliminatorias ante Bolivia en la altura de La Paz consiguiendo un contundente 3 a 0 y mostrando un excelente juego de equipo que hizo recordar al campeón del mundo consagrado a fines del año anterior en Qatar.
Estas eliminatorias son largas y generalmente muy disputadas, todavía no hay nada definido, aunque las dos principales selecciones del subcontinente parecen encaminadas, por categoría, antecedentes y juego a tener una clasificación cómoda.
Veremos si los resultados nos dan la razón. Los dados están echados y esto recién comienza.
South American Qualifiers

Brazil, one of two undefeated leaders with 6 points, receives Venezuela, which has 3 points. Colombia (4) receives Uruguay (3). Bolivia receives Ecuador in a match where both are in the last position without points, one of the two teams or both will have a point at the end of the match. Finally, Argentina, the other leader undefeated with 6 units, receives Paraguay, also in great need due to the meager harvest of only 1 point in the first two games.
The fourth round will be played just 5 days later with the following matches: Venezuela vs. Chile, Paraguay vs. Bolivia, Ecuador vs. Colombia, Uruguay vs. Brazil in the most attractive match so far, and Peru vs. Argentina.
For Argentina, it has not yet been decided whether its captain and reference will be present from the beginning or will be preserved on the substitute bench ready to enter if the match conditions require it. Messi has suffered from an injury since one of these qualifying rounds that has prevented him from playing. Inter Miami was the most affected since the team looked totally different from the one that swept with the Argentine in good form, lost the final of the US Open Cup, and then was eliminated from the MLS playoffs.
Contrary to what happened with Inter Miami, Argentina did not feel its absence at all on the second date of these qualifiers against Bolivia in La Paz, achieving a resounding 3-0 and showing an excellent team game that made remember the world champion consecrated at the end of the previous year in Qatar.
These qualifying rounds are long and generally highly contested, nothing is defined yet, although the two main teams in the subcontinent seem on track, by category, background, and game, to have a comfortable classification.
We will see if the results prove us right. The dice are cast and this is just beginning.

Saludos amigo, lo que más me gusta de Messi de este Messi es que es totalmente distinto en la selección que en su club, ahora para bien, no ha perdido el toque aunque muchos digan que se fué a EEUU a divertirse.
