Hay circuitos favorables a algunos pilotos y circuitos favorables a otros pilotos en la MotoGP, como sucede habitualmente en (casi) todos los deportes motores.

Y en el caso de Marc Márquez la regla se cumple a la perfección.

Es difícil imaginar dos temporadas más complicadas como las de 2020 y 2021 para el nativo de Cervera.

Un accidente como tantos, y en gran medida mucho menos espectacular que otros, le provocó la rotura del brazo. Y algo tan comón en el motociclismo se transformó en una pesadilla para el múltiple campeón.

El ímpetu de la juventud de querer competir a cualquier costo hizo que iniciara los entrenamientos antes de lo debido y, unido a una mala suerte increíble, se rompiera la prótesis. De ahí en más una auténtica pesadilla con infecciones al brazo, tiempo de recuperación que se prolungaban hasta la incertidumbre, perdiéndose incluso las primeras carreras de esta temporada.

Y un inicio con las características propias de alguien que no ha podido entrenarse lo suficiente y mucho menos subirse arriba de la moto.

Nuevas caídas en su afán por superar el mal momento y la falta de timing hasta darse cuenta que hay que darle tiempo al tiempo. Después de más de un año de inactividad era imposible por más fenómeno que fuera de volver a pelear por los primeros puestos y, en consecuencia, por el título.

El domingo pasado coronó su segunda victoria del año, en un circuito que conoce de memoria y en el cuál ha ganado siete carreras de las ocho disputadas en Austin (USA) por la MotoGP.

Que se suma al anterior en otro de los circuitos preferidos por el catalón: el de Alemania, el famoso Sachsenring del cuúl conserva todavía el récord del trazado marcado en el 2019.

Estas últimas le servirón para terminar el campeonato adquiriendo mayor confianza en si mismo y volver a demostrar en el 2022 el fenómeno que verdaderamente es. Yporder luchar de esta manera por el noveno título de su historial y el séptimo en MotoGP para tratar de alcanzar en la lista de récords los campeonatos mundiales ganados por una leyenda que se retira a fin de año: Valentino Rossi.

El festejo, después de la carrera, de Márquez, Quartararo y Bagnaia al mejor estilo texano.

Las veloces curvas del circuito texano son ideales para el modo de guiar la moto de Marc Márquez quien, no obstante todavía no ha alcanzado el 100x100 de su plenitud física, domina a voluntad.

Parecería que Fabio Quartararo el francés que lidera el mundial necesitara tener a Márquez en competencia para sentirse motivado. El año pasado dejó escapar un mundial increóble, entregándoselo servido en bandeja a un discreto Joan Mir. Este año parece tener el título (casi) asegurado. Ya en la próximo carrera en el circuito italiano de Misano en Emilia Romaña podría coronarse campeón.

El tercero en Discordia Pecco Bagnaia termina tercero y con algunas esperanzas aunque remotas de pelearle el título Quartararo. Larga bien, en pole position, pero no logra mantener el ritmo de los dos primeros. Joan Mir, el actual campeón, termina solo séptima y corona una carrera tan gris como su campaña en el 2021.

Ver a Valentino Rossi llevar su moto a la meta produce una inmensa pena. Termina en la posición 15, en la clasificación general ocupa el puesto 21. Merecía terminar su carrera de otra forma.

Habrá que ver si la evolución física de Márquez continúa y si mentalmente evoluciona también en forma paralela no forzando el física más de lo que las leyes de la naturaleza humana lo aconsejan.

Si eso ocurre tendremos un 2022 con un Marc Márquez si no al 100x100 de su era más gloriosa, al menos a un 75% y eso es ya sinónimo de espectáculo y olor de victoria en cualquier pista de motociclismo del mundo.

Desntro de pocos meses, cuando inicien los test de la próxima temporada tendremos una respuesta a este interrogante.

Mientras tanto un Fabio Quartaro sólido y concreto no piensa dejarse arrebatar por segundo año consecutivo el título de Campeón Mundial de Pilotos en la MotoGP.

And in the case of Marc Márquez the rule is fulfilled to perfection.

It is difficult to imagine two more complicated seasons like 2020 and 2021 for the native of Cervera.

An accident like so many, and to a large extent much less spectacular than others, caused him to break his arm. And something so common in motorcycling became a nightmare for the multiple champion.

The youthful impetus of wanting to compete at any cost caused him to start training earlier than he should have and, together with incredible bad luck, he broke the prosthesis. From then on a real nightmare with infections to the arm, recovery time that was prolonged to the point of uncertainty, missing even the first races of this season.

And a start with the characteristics of someone who has not been able to train enough and much less get on the bike.

New crashes in his eagerness to overcome the bad moment and the lack of timing until realizing that he has to give time to time. After more than a year of inactivity it was impossible, no matter how phenomenal he was, to fight again for the top positions and, consequently, for the title.

Last Sunday he crowned his second victory of the year, in a circuit he knows by heart and in which he has won seven races of the eight contested in Austin (USA) for the MotoGP.

That adds to the previous one in another of the favorite circuits for the Catalan: Germany, the famous Sachsenring of which he still holds the track record set in 2019.

These last ones served him to finish the championship acquiring more confidence in himself and to demonstrate again in 2022 the phenomenon that he really is. Yporder will fight in this way for the ninth title in his history and the seventh in MotoGP to try to reach in the record list the world championships won by a legend who retires at the end of the year: Valentino Rossi.

The fast corners of the Texan circuit are ideal for Marc Marquez's way of guiding the bike, who, although he has not yet reached 100x100 of his physical fullness, dominates at will.

It would seem that Fabio Quartararo, the Frenchman who leads the world championship, needs to have Márquez in competition to feel motivated. Last year he let an incredible world championship slip away, handing it to a discreet Joan Mir. This year he seems to have the title (almost) assured. Already in the next race at the Italian circuit of Misano in Emilia Romagna he could be crowned champion.

The third in Discordia Pecco Bagnaia finishes third and with some hopes, even if remote, of fighting Quartararo for the title. He starts well, in pole position, but fails to keep the pace of the first two. Joan Mir, the reigning champion, finishes only seventh and crowns a race as gray as his campaign in 2021.

Watching Valentino Rossi take his bike to the finish line produces immense sorrow. He finishes in 15th position, in the overall standings he is 21st. He deserved to end his career in a different way.

We will have to see if the physical evolution of Marquez continues and if mentally he also evolves in parallel not forcing the physical more than the laws of human nature advise.

If that happens we will have a 2022 with a Marc Marquez if not at 100x100 of his most glorious era, at least at 75% and that is already synonymous of spectacle and smell of victory in any motorcycle track in the world.

In a few months, when next season's tests begin, we will have an answer to this question.

In the meantime, a solid and concrete Fabio Quartaro does not intend to let the title of MotoGP World Champion Rider be taken away from him for the second consecutive year.
