Jugadas estupendas, goles, récords que probablemente necesitarán muchos años en ser superados, elogios, miles y miles de palabras expresadas en elogios escritas en todos los medios de comunicación, reales o virtuales que sean, en fin todo lo que fútbol tienen de magnífico y emotivo como deporte está plasmado en ambos jugadores.

Sin embargo la vida después de un cierto tiempo comienza a pasarnos la cuenta. Y Messi y Ronaldo no pudieron evitar esta rendición de cuentas.

El argentino se quedó en el Barcelona, inútilmente, tratando de resistir, no el paso del tiempo, sino la caída vertical a nivel de juego que no solo necesitaba cada vez más de él, sino que además ya no contaba con ese trio formidable que formaba con Iniesta y Xavi junto al resto de sus compañeros, para no ser injusto.

El portugués cortó por lo sano y aunque su capacidad goleadora seguía intacta no le gustaron demasiado algunas críticas que comenzaban a aparecer en el seno de la Comisión Directiva del Real Madrid y de sus simpatizantes y emigró a Italia, para darse cuenta que en su nuevo destino las cosas iban a ir peor que en el anterior. Sin embargo el técnico, para colmo de males compatriota, no tuvo mayores problemas en realizar el cambio, con razón o sin ella, porque priorizaba en ese momento el funcionamiento del equipo y el resultado al nombre de un jugador.

Tal vez Pocchettino no lo haya visto bien físicamente, tal vez pensó que no estaba cumpliendo su rol. Lo cierto es que de ahora en adelante se abre un nuevo camino en la trayectoria futbolística de Lionel Messi. Al son de un sueldo super millonaria en función de su llegada como jugador libre deberá entender que el carácter de imprescindible e insustituible que tenían el Barcelona es solo un viejo y querido recuerdo.
