Using movement & cold exposure to accelerate burning fat: My Actifit Report Card: September 12 2022

Today I jogged lightly while listening to prof Andrew Huberman's
podcast on how to burn fat.

The main message is relevant to anyone who is trying to keep healthy and he highlighted the way our bodies utilise the three types of body fats. We have three types of fats: white fats (these are subcutaneous fats which are there in our body as an energy storage site, it is mobilised and burnt elsewhere), brown fats (this can take food and break it into energy within the cells and can use energy directly without mobilising it) and beige fats (it's white fats that could be Brown fats).

This information is important to anyone who aims to have healthy body fat. Remember Folks that fat Composition doesn't necessarily equate to being obese. One can still be skinny fat, so it's essential to move around to keep a healthy body fat percentage regardless of body weight.

One interesting scientific-based tool to accelerate burning fat is cold exposure which can also offer a lot of benefits including mental resilience. Cold exposure can trigger brown fats and convert beige fats into more brown fats which will increase the amount of energy burned—a study published in nature state that shivering is responsible to increase the burning rate of metabolism.
