Messi Messi Messi the GOAT did it again with his team, I am so full of joy for Argentina, and I have always believed in them since the start of the world cup tournament. As I have said and will keep saying Argentina has what it takes to win the world cup. They are a complete team with a monstrous mentality to win it, and last night they just proved again to the world that they are ready to fight for the trophy at all costs.

Haters are saying the world cup the biggest competition in the world is rigid, and the Fifa officials are doing everything possible to make Argentina win the competition, guess the set of people saying it (Ronaldo's fan base).

That fan base becomes more shameless by the day, they went to curse and say a whole lot of disgusting things online because a little Moroccan girl bantered their goat. They have gone as far as to discredit any sports award and competition Messi outshines Ronaldo in, but now I care less because the debate between Messi and Ronaldo is over.

In the build-up to the match, I gave my thought on how the game between Argentina and Croatia will go down in my previous post, and at this point, they are already world cup champions no matter the opponent they will face on Sunday they are going home with the trophy, Argentina started poorly in the first 25 minutes of the first half Croatia dominated and had Argentina struggling to hold possession, and I was a bit worried then Messi drop deep into the midfield and the game changed.

Argentina scored the first goal of the match in the 34th minute of the first half Alvarez was brought down in the box by Croatia's goalkeeper, there was clear contact between the Croatia goalkeeper and Alvarez, but Ronaldo's fan base disagrees with the referee's decision and asked why did he not check the VAR forgetting their idol was awarded a penalty against Ghana when there was no contact between the Ghanian defender and Ronaldo, the referee even refused to check the VAR and stood on his decision. Messi as usual was the one to take the penalty kick and played a shot into the top comer of the goalpost.

Argentina doubled their lead five minutes later from a counter-attack fed by Alvarez, the youngster ran down Croatia's defense past two players and chipped the ball into the goalpost. The last and final goal came in the 69th minute of the second half. Messi with an incredible run made his way to the box and played a pass to Alvarez who wasted no time and played the ball into the goalpost and it was over for Croatia.

Alvarez deserves a lot of credit because he has been superb in the world cup now understand what Pep Guardiola sees in this young man and he is worth every hype he gets from supporters. When I think back at what Messi said after the defeat against Saudi Arabia nothing but joy fills my heart, that man actually gave his word, and look at where the team is in the world cup final, at the age of 35 Messi is giving a world-class performance in one of the biggest stages of football competition and he is still not considered the GOAT by some fanbase.

Fun Fact: Messi has scored in all three of Argentina's knockout games in Qatar and now has 19 goals and assists at the world cup(All-Time) and is one goal and assist away from equaling Pele's record and also becoming the first Argentine player to score 11 goals in the world cup, just wow the guy is already setting his records in the world cup.
