Battle For The Top Four( Manchester United Welcome To Party)

Source

The football weekend ended on a positive note for some clubs, while some clubs suffered a setback. The race for the top four spots is getting interesting each week between Newcastle United, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspurs. Manchester United came from being a title contender to fighting for a place in the top four, yes the inform team which looked invisible like Superman seems to have fallen by a kryptonite in the hands of Lex Luthor which is no other than Manchester United itself.

The United squad has got a lot of egos because they had a successful month in February/ first week of March, the red devils have a lot of nerve thinking by beating Barcelona, winning the EFL Cup, and progressing to the quarter-finals of the Europa League makes them 100 percent back on track and as a result of this mentality they got humbled by Liverpool who is not having a great season and again got beaten by Newcastle United.

Manchester United's recent form in the past weeks has given me a little bit of doubt if the team will make the top four and their reliance on Casemiro at the midfield might be affecting the squad. Casemiro's absence in some Manchester United matches has shown how important he is to the squad and Manchester United looks clueless without him on the pitch.

Manchester United are 5th on the table and although I am beginning to have doubts about them finishing in the top four, they still have a 70 percent chance of making that top four list because Tottenham are going to bottle their chances of finishing top four. It is no news that Conte has parted ways with Tottenham after both parties came to a neutral agreement and the board has decided Cristian Stellini will be the temporary manager till the end of the season.

The problem with Tottenham is they lack a winning mentality which Conte complained about before he left the club and that is why you see a player like Harry Kane with all his ability as a striker has never won an EPL title or any major title at the club, Tottenham biggest achievement was reaching the champions league final in 2019 which they lost 2-0 to Liverpool. I don't know much about the interim coach but if Conte and Jose Mourinho couldn't turn Tottenham around then I don't think there is anything he can do for that team.

Newcastle United are doing pretty well and I hope they stay that way. I have full faith in the team and their manager, Howie, that they are going to finish in the top four at the end of the season. It's obvious the players are hungry and are ready to play their hearts out for the club and I want nothing more than to see them play in the UCL next season. PS I support Barcelona🙂

So guy that will be all for now, I will like to read your thoughts on who you think will finish in the two spots in the top four. Thanks for stopping by.
