Brighton Vs Chelsea (Match Recap)

Source

This weekend in football had a lot of controversy over Chelsea performance against Brighton on Saturday, opposition fans banter Chelsea over the weekend especially Barcelona and Manchester United supporters were the ones dishing out the trolls to Chelsea supporters and I can't lie I was among the bantering squad 😂, because I have a few friends who are Chelsea supporters and they never showed mercy to me on Wednesday when Bayern Munich trashed Barcelona 3-0 at the Camp Nou.

Brighton opened the scoreline in the 5th minutes of the first half, Kaoru Mitoma from Brighton passed the ball to his teammate in the box, Trossard quickly received the ball and dribbled passed a Chelsea defender and Chelsea goalkeeper then played a shot in the goalpost and scored the first goal for Brighton, this was the first time Brighton were the first to score a goal in a fixture better both teams.

The scored goal came in the 14th minute, Solly March swung in a corner from the right into the Chelsea box, Ruben Loftus-Cheek tried to clear the ball but unfortunately he played it into his goal post and scored an own goal helping Brighton to double their lead.

Brighton got another goal at the 43rd minute, Pervis Estupinan from Brighton tried creating a scoring opportunity as he played a low cross into Chelsea box, Trevoh Chalobah Chelsea's defender tried to block the ball from reaching a Brighton player but instead he mistakenly slide the ball into his goalposts and scored an own goal helping Brighton to extend the scoreline to three goals.

Chelsea scored their first goal at the 48th minute of the second half, Conor Gallagher from Chelsea who had tried scoring a goal in the first half but got denied twice by Brighton goalkeeper was the architect of Chelsea's first goal. Conor Gallagher swung a cross into the Brighton box, Kai Havertz form Chelsea headed the ball into the goalposts and made the scoreline 3-1.

Brighton sealed their victory in the 90+2 minutes, Julio Enciso from Brighton shoots from outside the box, but Edouard Mendy blocked the ball from going into the goalposts, Julio Enciso again played another shot and still Mendy denied him a goal again but Mendy wasn't saved yet as Pascal Gross capitalise on the loose ball and played a shot into the goalpost made the scoreline 4-1.

The final whistle was blown and Brighton won the match and took all three points, this was Chelsea's new Manager Graham Potter first loss since he took the goal earlier this month. The Blues are currently in 6th place on the EPL table and have a match in hand. Chelsea will face Arsenal this weekend and I don't see them winning that match but who knows they might just stop Arsenal winning streak.

So guys that will be all for now, thanks once again for stopping by.

I won’t lie I was one of the people to tease them about their defeat. My brother is a huge Chelsea fan so I always find joy in teasing him when they loose.

Have you noticed that whenever Chelsea play against a team that handle the ball well they struggle? Manchester United. Brighton, Brentford, and others seemed to get one on them when they faced them.

It looks like Potter only sets his team to know how to play with the ball but when they don’t have the ball they seem to forget the basics of football tactics. In the first half they were embarrassing but their second half was much better as the Brighton keeper single handedly won the game for Brighton.

I thought I was the only one who noticed it, Chelsea are not yet back and I am sure the game against Arsenal will prove it. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are not paid over the referee decision yesterday night 👀👀

😂😂Herh I knew you will say something about yesterdays match.

9 out of 10 times we don’t complain about refs but yesterdays own was embarrassing to watch. First the penalty call against Asensio is debatable. There were instances when he should have called the ball back but he didn’t.

Rodrigo’s disallowed goal can be debated too. But after everything I still feel like Girona deserved something from this match. They played really well even though it was at the Benabeu.

The boys looked tired from playing in the champions league. But i think the draw was a better result cause honestly we should have lost that match.

Now you feel how Barcelona felt when the referees decision cost us the Champions League.

😂😂Yours were not clear calls. The penalty that you people wanted against inter was not a clear one. A lot of us watching the replays were not so sure if the ball even hit the defenders hand.

If it’s the disallowing Ferran Torres goal too I think it was a right call cause it rights Fatis hand.

Now I am convinced you did not watch the match and even the highlights🤣🤣, Pedri scored that goal that was disallowed because of Ansu Fati hand and FIFA has already made a rule since the beginning of January on cases like Pedri disallowed goal. That goal should have been counted.

Oh sorry 😂, I watched the match. I just mixed up the names. As you know it Pedri and Ferran are both small in nature so I mixed the faces.

I want you to tell me in all sincerity, if you were the ref would you have allowed the goal after seeing the ball hit Fati’s hand clearly? Let’s forget this FIFA rules that change with every passing minute😂.
