Chelsea Beat Leicester City 3-1 Away From Home In Matchday 27 Of The English Premier League

Source

The Blues are back in business, and there might be more to come in the coming weeks for the boys in Blue. Chelsea had a lot of problems since they returned from the world club. The fans and even the owner of the club thought by buying more players their problem will be resolved immediately but that was not the case.

Week in and week out Chelsea keeps having horrible performances and the fans wanted Potter out of the club, but I have always said Chelsea fans need to give Potter time and trust the rebuilding process and good results will come soon. The best response Potter and the boys in blue gave was in the Champions League after coming from behind a goal lead and winning the game by scoring two goals against a top German club Dortmund.

The win against Dortmund has boosted the boys in blue confidence as they went away from home to beat Leicester City on matchday 27 of the English Premier League. Chelsea threw the first blow in the 11th minute of the first half, Koulibaly swung a cross from the left corner into the box and found Ben Chilwell who played a volley into the goalpost and scored the first goal for Chelsea.

Leicester City equalized in the 39th minute of the first half, Joao Felix from Chelsea was dispossessed by Pereira from Leicester City who immediately passed the ball to his teammate Paston Daka, Daka received the ball and dribbled his way past some Chelsea players and played a shot into the bottom corner of the goalpost and scored.

The Blues did not back down and in 45+6 minutes they got their lead back, Enzo Fernandez flicked the ball to Kai Havertz, and the German forward chipped the ball past the goalkeeper into the goalpost. The referee held play and waited for the VAR final decision because it seemed Havertz was offside, the goal stood after the VAR was done with the check and Chelsea took the lead into halftime.

The Blues sealed their victory in the 78th minute of the second half, Kai Havertz played a cross into the box and found his teammate Mykhaylo Mudryk who headed the ball to Mateo Kovacic, the Croatian midfielder played a volley into the goalpost and scored the third goal for Chelsea. Leicester City tried to get back in the game but could not execute their chances perfectly and it cost them two potential goals.

The match came to an end and Chelsea took all three points from the match, the Blues are still in 10th place in the EPL table, and there is still a lot of work to be done but I trust Potter and his boys are on the right track, let's see how the go in the coming weeks. So guys that will be all for now, thanks for stopping by, and have a great day.

So glad we got the victory. Do you think anything outside a Champions League finish would warrant him keeping his job?

Yes of course, if he gets the team to finish in a European spot on the EPL table the board would not sack him and I am positive Potter will deliver a good job, we just have to be patient.

Hopefully he can get there, still a big ask to get into the top 4. I just dont know if a Europa League spot would be good enough
