Hello guys, so the two weeks International break is finally over, qualification for the World Cup tournament is almost complete. All leagues are back in action, the race for the EPL title is still on as Manchester City and Liverpool are still separated by one point.

Chelsea who is third on the table played yesterday against Brentford who is currently fourteen on the EPL table. Both sides could not record a goal in the first 45 minutes, but that all changed in the second half of the match.

Chelsea opened the scoreline in the 48th minute at the beginning of the first half, Kante laid out a pass to Ruediger, the German International made an incredible strike outside the box and scored a stunning goal the Brentford goalkeeper couldn't get hold of the ball as it went into the goalpost. Two minutes later Brentford gave their response to the home sides as they made a counter-attack and levelled the scoreline, Bryan Mbeumo with a through ball to his teammate Vitaly Janelt as he played a shot into the goal post.

Brentford wasn't done yet as four minutes later they scored their second, Bryan Mbeumo charging for the midfield into the box and played a low cross into the box and found his teammate Eriksen, the Danish International played a shot into the goalpost. Brentford increased their lead again six minutes later, Ivan Toney played a through ball into the box as Vitaly Janely tipped the ball into the goalpost and scored his second of the night.

I was hoping Chelsea would spark light into the game but yet again they conceded another goal, Ruediger's poor clearance at the 87th minute gave Yoane Wissa the perfect chance as he played a volley into the goalpost and extend the scoreline to 1-4, great performance form Brentford they played well I did not expect this turnaround but its football anything is possible.

So, guys that will be all for now, the weekend football is not over yet Barcelona are up against Sevilla today a must-win match, if Barcelona wins against Sevilla they are going to move up to second place in the Laliga Santander table, I hope Barça wins.

Chelsea's defeat came at a completely inopportune time

This is not the time for Chelsea to slag off, they could lose their spot in the top four.

It was indeed a big and a shocking loss but I don't think that's enough to keep Chelsea out of the top 4 race since that's the only thing they've got to chase at the moment.

They could end up in 5th place, Arsenal still has 2 matches to play and they could close the gap soon.

Hmm... I really don't think they could though.
