Clash Of Titans (Arsenal 3 Manchester United 2)

The EPL never fails to give us entertaining and exciting matches and last night was one of them. Arsenal hosted Manchester United at the Emirate stadium last night, the game had everything, goals, comebacks, and a winner. Build up to the match, Manchester United fans were in high spirits and believed their club had a chance of ending Arsenal's winning streak since the start of the year, I also had that same feeling United might probably win because of their form since the started the year and their impressive comeback against Manchester City set them up as title contenders.

But last night they missed a key and important player in their fixture against Arsenal which is Casemiro. The Brazilian midfielder has been the rock of Manchester United's midfield since he arrived at the club, although he had some issues fitting into the squad when he first joined last summer transfer window, he has adapted to the new system and has locked his place in the squad as a starter.

Ten Hag and the rest of the United supporter's reaction when Casemiro was booked in United's previous match against Crystal Palace says it all that he is indeed an important player for Manchester United. Back to the match last night, Manchester United hit the first blow in the 17th minute of the first half, Marcos Rashford who is no doubt an incredible winger dispossessed Arsenal midfield Thomas Partey and pass the ball to Buro Fernandes, the Portuguese midfielder returned the pass and Rashford nutmegged Thomas Partey and fired the ball from outside the box into the goalpost, that goal was beautiful.

The Gunners levelled the scoreline in the 24th minute, after the gunners successfully passed the ball around each other outside the United box Xhaka played cross to his teammate in the box, Nketiah from Arsenal jumped high for the ball and headed it into the goalpost. The first half ended in a draw as both teams failed to score any goal.

Arsenal got their first lead of the night in the 53rd minute of the second half, Bukayo Saka played a strong shot outside the box 18 into the bottom corner of the goalpost, that goal was more than beautiful it was a work of art and he made the goal more icon has he did Rashford first half celebration for his goal. Bukayo Saka is no doubt one of the best youngsters of the new generation of football and if he is consistent then he has a bright future ahead.

Manchester United did not back down as they leveled the scoreline six minutes later, Christian Eriksen swung the ball into the box from a corner kick, Ramsdale Arsenal goalkeeper went for the ball but could not hold it properly as it slipped from his hands, Lisandro Martinez saw the loose ball and quickly headed it into the goalpost and got himself on the scoresheet. For the remaining thirty minutes both sides were looking for the winning goal and when it seemed the game would end as a draw Nketiah scored the winning goal in the 90th minute for Arsenal, the crowd went wild in the Emirate stadium and the United players looked stunned.

The match came to an end and Arsenal took all three points, the Gunners maintain their five points led against Manchester City and still have a game in hand to play. It was an impressive performance for Arsenal, their mentality on the field is nothing like the previous season's and they are ready to win the title but still, Manchester City is in the picture.

Manchester City won 3-0 yesterday against Wolves with Haaland scoring all three goals in the match, like I told @blanchy in the weekly guessing game, someone has to pay for those two-loss City had one week ago, Tottenham and Wolves have paid the price and it seems Arsenal might join the list in the FA cup and Tottenham again might suffer another loss on the 5th of February in the EPL against Manchester City.

A good win for Arsenal, looking forward to their FA cup match against City. So guys that will be all for now, thanks once again for stopping by, and have a great week ahead.
