FC Barcelona Officially Announced The Signing Of Raphinha
Yesterday, Barcelona and Leeds United finally agreed on terms of the signing of Raphinha, the wait is now over as Barcelona's official announces the signing of the Brazilian into the first team of the club. The race to sign the Brazilian was a tough one for the club, two clubs in Europe had an interest in signing the Brazilian winger this summer transfer window.
Chelsea and Arsenal were in the race with FC Barcelona to sign Raphinha, luckily for Barca the Brazilian was only interested in only joining Barcelona this summer. Arsenal was the first to drop out of the bid, leaving Barcelona and Chelsea in the struggle to get the Brazilian.
Chelsea was ready to sign Raphinha, they had already agreed on the transfer fee with Leeds United and were willing to pay immediately to seal the deal. Unfortunately for Chelsea, Raphinha told Leeds United to not accept the bid from Chelsea and should wait for Barcelona.
The Brazilian winger worked together with Leeds United to make his move to FC Barcelona possible this summer. Chelsea didn't back down from the bid, they left their proposal on the table for the Brazilian in case he decides to change his mind, but Raphinha only had an interest in joining Barcelona.
Raphinha's agent Deco, a former Barcelona and Chelsea player was a key factor in making Raphinha's move to FC Barcelona successful. Deco was constantly meeting with Barcelona to find possible ways to seal the deal with Leeds United.
Although Leeds United struggled last season in the EPL, the Brazilian scored a total of 11 goals and gave 3 assists in 35 appearances for Leeds United. People still wondering how Barcelona are signing players when they are still in debt. I don't know how Laporta and Alemany are pulling the string but I know they are doing an amazing job in Barcelona. Barcelona has managed to secure Dembele and Raphinha, it's only a matter of time before they will push through for Lewandoski.
