Last night the world cup defending champions France played their first match in the Fifa 2022 world cup In Qatar against Australia. Everyone knows the talents France has in their squad, big names like Mbappe, Griezmann, Dembele, Pavard, Kounde, and some talented young stars.

The boys of France did not fail to give an entertaining match last night, Australia opened the scoreline in the 9th minute of the first half. Mathew Leckie received a long cross from his teammate and dribbled past a France defender then swung the ball to his teammate in the box, Craig Goodwin received the ball and played a shot into the top corner of the goalpost.

When Australia scored their first goal I just laughed and said to myself these guys don't know they are playing against France, they will eventually win and score up to four goals before the match ends, and just like I predicted France started their comeback.

In the 27th minute, France scored their first goal of the match, Theo Hernandez swung the ball into Australia's box and Rabiot quickly headed the ball into the goalpost and scored his goal of the world cup in Qatar. France was not done yet as they scored another goal five minutes later after their first goal.

Australia's defender loses the ball from the pressure of France's players, Rabiot received the ball from his teammate and played a low pass to Giroud, the Frenchman wasted no time as he played the ball into the goalpost and scored the second goal for France.

France increased their lead to two in the 68th minute of the second half, Dembele spotted Mbappe in the box and played a cross to him, and the PSG young star jumped high and headed the ball into the goalpost, Australia players were stunned and could not believe how far they have fallen out in the match.

France sealed their victory with another goal in the 71st minute, Mbappe with the ball on his feet dribbled past the defender and made a run down the box, then swung the ball into the box to Giroud as he headed the ball into the goalpost and scored his second goal.

The 90 minutes were up and the match ended, France took all three points and is currently sitting at the top of the group. So guys what a week we are having in the world cup tournament, it keeps getting more exciting.
