Messi Messi Messi the GOAT, I think at this point the Ballon d'Or officials need to explain why the GOAT was not on that top thirty list this year, his performances last night was top notch and no one can disagree that this guy is on his way to win his 8th Ballon d'Or next year.

PSG trashed their visitors Maccabi Haifa 7-2 last night in the Uefa Champions League group stage match. Messi opened the scoreline in the 19th minute of the first half, Mbappe capitalize on the loose ball in Maccabi's box and quickly played a pass to Messi, the 7th time the Ballon d'Or winner received the ball and flicked it with his left foot into the side net of the goal post and gave PSG their first goal of the night.

Mbappe scored the second goal for PSG in the 32nd minute, the Frenchman tried passing the ball to Messi but a Maccabi defender deflected the ball back to him, Mbappe quickly decides to take the shot as he flicked the ball with his right foot into the side net of the goalposts scoring a similar goal to Messi's own in the 19th minute.

PSG grabbed another goal three minutes later, Messi, Neymar, and Mbappe passed the ball to each other, Messi played a through ball back to Neymar and the Brazilian curled the ball into the goal post and scored the third goal of the match, PSG front three already had a goal each in the space of thirty-two minute in the first half.

Maccabi Haifa scored their first goal of the night in the 38th minute from a set piece, Omer Atzili from Maccabi played a long cross into PSG's box and found his teammate Abdoulaye Seck who headed the ball into the goalposts. PSG was not done hunting for goals as they got their three-goal lead back in the 44th minute of the first half, Mbappe and Messi lead the attack with both players playing a 1-2 with each other, Mbappe made the final touch back to Messi who dribbled passed a player and fired a low shot outside the box into the goalpost and scored his second of the night.

Maccabi Haifa scored their second goal of the night in the 50th minute of the second half from a corner kick, the ball was played into the box both PSG and Maccabi players tried to get a touch with their heads, Pierrot from Maccabi's head the to his teammate Abdoulaye Seck who heads the ball into the goalpost and scored his second goal of the night.

PSG found the goalpost again in the 64th minute, Hakimi crossed the ball to Mbappe into the box, and the Frenchman controlled the ball and then curled the ball into the goalposts scoring his second of the night. PSG got another goal three minutes later, Neymar dribbled his way into Maccabi's box and tried to find Messi but a Maccabi defender slid the ball into his net and scored an own goal.

PSG scored the seventh and the last goal of the match in the 84th minute, Messi with the ball on his feet dribbled his way to Maccabi's defense, sight his teammate, and played a through ball to Carlos Soler who played a shot into the goalpost and scored his first goal for the PSG.

The match ended 7-2, Messi scored two goals and delivered two assists in the match, another masterclass from the GOAT. Messi is now six goals away to reach his 700th club goal just six away from Ronaldo who has played more games than Messi, it's just October and Messi is already on 27 G/A in 18 games this season, that is 15 goals and 12 assists.

All I need right now is for Messi to win the world cup which will cement him as the greatest player of all time, which in my eyes, he is already GOAT. So guys I will stop here, for now, thanks for stopping by.

All I can say is that Lionel Messi is not normal. The way he took his goals...the way he linked up, the way he assisted, he's a genius. It's no longer news. What a masterclass performance.

Messi does the impossible and makes football look easy, I am sure going to miss him when he retires from football.

I take it you like Messi lol. Don't think he will have much influence with the World Cup as he is past his prime and he wont be playing Maccabi Haifa as the quality should go up another level.

He is past his prime 😂😂😂😂, what happened to the body of a 21-year-old who can't even score against Omonia, Messi will deliver a masterclass in the world cup just wait and see, he delivered a masterclass against Euros winners and you say he is out of his prime 😂😂😂

Same here too, PSG winning the UCL will be good, I just hope the front three work together.

It is nice to see Messi perform well. But I really dont think that his opponents lately were something to fear off. The WC will show whether he is still the old one :)

I can assure you Messi in Argentina is a totally different player, just wait and see how they will perform at the world cup.

Messi as good as he is, he's just reaping the fruits of a farmer's league. He's past his prime and when the opposition bring a good contest, he goes missing. As for the world cup, Argentina will definitely go far, but I see them falling short of the prize.

Farmers league you say, when Messi does not score it's a problem when he scores he is playing in the farmers league, what happened to the body of a 21-year-old who still can't make a tap-in against Omonia?

Sigh. Are you going to be bringing up every goal he scores against every Troyes and Maccabi Haifa just to convince that he's still in his prime?
