Real Madrid Comeback Against PSG In The UCL

What a night in the Uefa Champions League. I could not believe what I watched last night. Real Madrid proved why they are called champions of Europe. Hard work, team spirit and support from fans made their win last night special.

Real Madrid had lost their UCL first leg against PSG in Paris. PSG played well, created a lot of chances but only got a goal, Madrid were struggling to keep up with the boys from Paris.

Real Madrid took on PSG last night in their home stadium for the second leg. The first few minutes was all about PSG. They created chances and controlled the match. It did not take too long before they scored their first goal. Neymar passed a through ball to Mbappe, the French International made an incredible run down the box and played a shot into the goal post. Mbappe again caused problems for Madrid as he did in the first leg in Paris.

The French young star would have had two goals in the first half but the referee ruled out one of the goals for offside. The first half ended and PSG was leading with just a goal. The second half of the match switched. Madrid's fighting spirit went up and they made several attempts to get a goal. Their breakthrough came at the 61st minute of the school half.

An error made by the PSG goalkeeper from the pressure Benzema put on saw the keeper give the ball away. Vinicius Jnr quickly calmed the free ball and passed it into the box. Benzema made no mistake and played the ball into the goalposts. From that goal, the atmosphere in the stadium changed. Madrid supporters raised their voices higher to encourage the players.

In the 76th minute, Madrid found the goalposts again. It looked like Modric was about to take a shot but instead laid out a pass to Benzema. The French International played a shot, the ball deflected from a defender and went into the goal post. The aggregate score was levelled and it looked like a fairy-tale finish for Madrid.

Madrid was not done yet. 2 minutes after their 2nd goal Benzema found the goal post again. An error from PSG defence gave them away again. The PSG players could not believe what had happened. They all looked stunned. 90 minutes came and the whistle was bowed to signify the end of the match. What a comeback for Madrid. Honestly, they deserve the win. I don't think after tonight Mbappe will consider staying in PSG. He may decide to leave the club. We will get to see how things go in the summer transfer window.
