What a night for Manchester United and Ronaldo. I can't believe that I'm typing this but Ronaldo is the best, yeah I still love Leo Messi but this season, Ligue 1 hasn't been all good for him. I don't think PSG values Messi. I have watched a couple of PSG matches and I noticed their playing system isn't working for him at all, but he still tries his best to contribute to the game.

Manchester United took on Spurs at the Old Trafford stadium and Ronaldo was back to the starting lineup after missing out on the Manchester Derby which we all know City won by 4 goals to one. The first half took off and just in the 12th minute Ronaldo made his mark with a shot outside the box even Spurs goalkeeper could not reach the ball as it went into the goalpost, that goal was super.

Spurs levelled the scoreline at the 35th minute of the first half with a penalty. Harry Kane made sure not to lose the penalty as he played the ball into the goalpost. De Gea was so close to stopping the ball but failed. It didn't take long before United responded three minutes later. Sancho led the counter-attack and played a low cross into the box, Ronaldo tapped the ball into the goalpost and gave United their lead back. The first 45 minutes ended. it was an interesting half. Spurs played well but they were not getting the goals they needed.

Both teams came out strong in the second half, with end to end counter-attacks from both sides and missed opportunities. Spurs again were levelled at the 72nd minute. Regulion from Spurs directed a low cross ball into the box, But got intercepted by Maguire who sends the ball into his own net and scored an own goal.

That didn't stop United as they got back their lead in the 81st minute for a corner kick by Burno Fernandez and the star man of the show Ronaldo heads the ball into the top corner of the goal post. This man again showed he is still one of football greatest players, an outstanding performance from Ronaldo. The match ended and United took all three points. Spurs played well but this was not their night.

Great performance from United, now all they have to do is to bring this same energy on Tuesday against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League this Tuesday, I'm sure Atletico are watching closely because it's all going to be about Ronaldo this Tuesday and the same goes for United Atletico are had to beat in the round of 16th they always progress through, it's going to tough for both teams.
