Saudi Arabia Clubs Taking Over The Transfer Window

The transfer window has been going crazy since Saudi Arabia club Al- Nassr got Cristanio Ronaldo in the January window this year. Saudi clubs are the only clubs in the market making expensive bids for players to move to their clubs. They are offering massive amounts of money to get players to sign for their clubs, and it's working for them because they have the money, and are free from any FFP restrictions to sign players.

Ronaldo's move to Saudi Arabia club Al-Nassr was the talk of the January window. There were rumors the five-time Ballon d’Or winner was not ready to move to Saudi Arabia and wanted to remain in Europe but offers from top clubs in Europe were not coming, and time was running out for the Portuguese star. Ronaldo eventually agreed to the deal, which was worth 200 million euros a year with benefits.

The summer window is gradually approaching for clubs to sign players. Some Suadi clubs are already making moves, and some have already started signing players. Al Ittihad sign Benzema today and has given him a contract worth more than 100 million euros with benefits and an option to extend his contract. These Saudi clubs are hunting down big names for their club, and if it was not left to the player to make the final decision they will sign anyone they want in a blink of an eye.

Al Hilal another Suadi Arabia club has made an offer to Leo Messi. The deal is worth 400 million euros with benefits, but Messi is yet to give his approval to the deal. The deal has been on the table since January, and the club is not ready to back down as they are confident the Argentina star would accept their offer. Messi has other options on his table. Barcelona is still waiting for La Liga's approval to put Messi in their viability plan and will hope Messi can give them more time before they can send him their offer. Inter Miami is in the race, and other European clubs will try to sign Messi this summer.

There are new rumors that Al- Ittihad representative arrived in England to drop their bid for Chelsea’s midfielder Ngolo Kante. Kante is willing to stay at Chelsea, but it seems the talks to extend his contract is not going well with the board, so there is a possibility Kante might leave the Blues this summer window. I think the reason why these Suadi clubs are bringing in big names to the league is to promote their league in the bid to host the world cup

They are looking for attention, and they are getting it more than they aspected, so it's possible they might be given the opportunity to host the world club in eight years to come. I am sure they will still pull off some sinnings this summer window, and I will be keeping an eye on them to keep you guys updated. Thanks for stopping by, and see you soon.

It's easy to see the parallels between what the Saudis are doing now and what happened in China about a decade ago. However, the Saudis are more invested in European football than the Chinese ever were. Asides, the Arabs are actually targeting iconic footballers, not some passerby.

They've now got Ronaldo and Benzema, they've tabled offers for Wilf. Zaha, Kante and Lloris. They are equally sounding out Messi for a move. These people really mean business.
