The Blues Under A Dark Cloud

Source

It has been a long and sad month for Chelsea's supporters around the world. Honestly, I can feel their pain because things are just getting from bad to worse week in and week out for the Blues. Before Potter was sacked I have always been one of those few people who believe the man needs time and trust the building process of the team, and knowing Chelsea they were patient with Potter, because before the new owner took over. The Chelsea board doesn't waste time in sacking a manager once they are not bringing in good results and don't care even if they had a successful previous season.

Graham Potter's sack news did not come as a shock to me after all it was what many Chelsea supporters wanted and the board was already losing patients with him managing the club. Potter became the second manager Chelsea set packing this season and was paid off immediately, then talks began on who will take over as the new manager for Chelsea.

The obvious man was former Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann, there were other names but Nagelsmann looks to be the favorite to join the club. But Chelsea still had other plans of their own and decided to call back Frank Lampard to take over until the end of the season.

It makes it look like the board is confused but it's the best decision they made. Bringing in a new coach when the season is almost done won't turn things around immediately but starting from preseason and the new season will help the new manager because there won't be any pressure to bring in positive results quickly.

The manager coming in should be prepared because the squad he's falling apart, with the millions Chelsea spent in the winter transfer window the only player that has given positive results is Enzo Fernandez, man has been playing well and last night he gave a good performance against Real Madrid in the champions league.

Chelsea's place in European football is still uncertain, they sit in the 11th place of the EPL table and are 14 points behind Tottenham who are 5th on the table. If Chelsea gets a Europa League or Conference League spot next season it will be a miracle because their schedule is crazy, they still have Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, Newcastle United, Brighton, and a few other teams.

Chelsea beating those teams I mentioned above would be a miracle, especially if they beat Arsenal and Manchester City which I don't see happening for the Blues. Lampard just came back to receive more headaches 😂 and Chelsea supporters don't have anything to smile about for the rest of the season. It's been a tough season for the Blues, let's hope they bounce back next season and return to the Chelsea we all once knew. So guys that will be all for now, thanks for stopping by, and have a good day.

Chelsea just are in a terrible mess and with all the money they spent have a terrible squad. I wouldn't be surprised if players would like to leave at the end of the season to try their luck elsewhere.

This is so on point, and my first guess would be Ziyech leaving Chelsea this summer, I don't think he is happy and Chelsea.

Hi, and that sacking you spoke about in your first paragraph created a certain chaos in the system(eventhough it won some trophies)– I just talked about it here.

There's something Chelsea can learn from Lazio who has a former Chelsea coach as boss.

Cheers man
