The EPL Is Back

Source

Happy holidays sports community, the famous league in Europe is back, yes I am talking about the English Premier League. The EPL has been on a break for a month due to the world cup which we all enjoyed and witnessed amazing moments but now we say goodbye to that and focus on club football. The EPL is the first league to resume back after the world cup, while other leagues like La Liga, Ligue 1, Bundesliga, Sena A, and many more are still yet to return to their leagues.

Back to the EPL and as usual they never fail to give us excitement and entertainment, the first match to be played was Brentford vs Tottenham. Brenfort snatched a two-goal lead in the space of 54 minutes with Janelt and Ivan Toney scoring the two goals for Brentford but Tottenham was not ready to back down as they leveled the scoreline in the 71st minute of the second half with Harry Kane and Hojbjerg scoring the two goals for Spurs, it was an intense 29 minutes between both sides, equally looking for the winning goal but failed to score a winning goal. The match came to an end and both teams left the field with one point each.

The second game was between Crystal Palace vs Fulham, it was another bad day for Palace as they had two red cards in the match, and Fulham trashed them with three goals Reid, Ream, and Mitrovic scored all three goals for Fulham. Mitrovic continues his goal-scoring run in the EPL Mitrovic has now scored 10 goals in 13 appearances for Fulham in the EPL the guy is having a blast this season in the EPL.

Everton lost to Wolverhampton 1-2 at home yesterday. Everton is still struggling to keep themself away from the relegation zone and Wolves are still trying to escape the relegation zone, it was a tight match between both sides but Wolves left the match with all three points, Podence and Alt-Noun scored both goals for Wolverhampton and Mina scored the only goal for Everton, Frank Lampard needs to get his team heads in the game or he might get sacked if he does not bring a good result for Everton this season.

Newcastle Unites returns with a win as they beat Leicester City three goals to nothing Newcastle is showing the rest of the teams in the EPL that they are not here to play and are ready to compete in the highest level of club football, they are currently sitting the second place of the EPL table with 33 points and are just 7 points down from league leaders Arsenal, Wood, Almiron and Joelinton all scored the three goals for Newcastle United against Leicester City yesterday.

I have no doubts that we will be seeing Newcastle in the Champions League next season and this will help them attract big names to the club in the transfer window next summer looking forward to seeing how Newcastle United finishes the season next year.

Brighton won away from home against Southampton by 3 goals to 1. Lallana and March scored a goal each for Brighton and Perraud from Southampton scored an own goal for Brighton, while Ward-Prowse scored the only goal for Southampton. I think Brighton still has a lot to offer this season if they keep this form they might get a spot in the Europa conference league next season.

Liverpool had an impressive win against Aston Villa last night, the reds scored three goals and Aston Villa scored a goal Mohammed Salah, Van Dijk, and Bajcetic were on the scoresheet for Liverpool and Watkins was the only one on the scoresheet for Villa. It was an important win for Liverpool as they are now closer to the top five, they had a terrible start to the season and it has affected their campaign for the EPL title which I don't see them winning this season.

The last match on Monday night in the EPL was Arsenal vs West Ham United, the gunners came from one goal behind to score three goals and sealed their victory. Saka, Martinelli, and Nketiah were all on the scoresheet for Arsenal and Benrahma scored the only goal for West Ham United.

Arsenal has now extended their lead and is now eight points clear from defending champions Manchester City but still, I dont think they would win the league, I am not a hater but I am still not convinced Arsenal will lift the EPL trophy maybe I might be wrong but we will wait and see what happens at the end of the season.

So guys that will be all for now, thanks once again for stopping by, and have a great day ahead.
