My Actifit Report Card: February 14 2024

Hello actifiters, and hello everyone!! I hope you guys are having a wonderful day. This is iamscinttwister, it's nice seeing you all again and welcome to my actifit daily mini-blog for February 14, 2024.

APPRECIATING A CLEAR SKY

Another shot of such a vibrant sky, not a cloud in sight and very relaxing to just take time and enjoy the view. So how did I end up with such an opportunity to enjoy? Well let me share it to you. Normally when there is no class, I usually enjoy my time resting in bed or play video games when I got nothing else to do. I don't go out much often in the morning when there's no class, I only go out in the afternoon to buy snack and it's also my designated schedule to go to the gym. This shot was taken around four in the afternoon, I was playing video games when I decided to take a bath and hangs my towel out side so it cloud dry faster and prevent if from having a funny odor. That's when I notice that the sky was extra clear and it was just so vibrant that I sat down and took some time looking at it. Well who wouldn't, when you got the time and the timing of the scenery is great, it's perfect combo.

AFTERNOON WALK

After the relaxing time of enjoying the sky, I felt kind of hungry and thought about having coffee and a snack. As I was going outside, I remembered that I already run out of instant coffee so I also bought coffee along the way.

Getting back after buying coffee and break for snack, I quickly boiled water so I could drink a hot cup of coffee pared with bread. I really like the taste of this particular instant coffee, I has a nice strong taste without being too bitter. The bread or pastry that I bought had a very nice flavor it goes very well with the coffee because it has a sugar glaze, making it an excellent combo. You know what else goes with coffee? A big slice of banana bread, that's what. I might buy some if I come across one and show it to you guys in my future blogs.

Yuuum... Yumm... Yummm ..

ATTEMPT TO FIX MY HEADPHONES

I mentioned in my previous blog about my headphones being broken, it has been a great help to during working out. Wearing headphone and playing music you carefully picked for a playlist especially for gym really helps a lot in your focus and at times it somehow give me more energy to do more sets. I did order a new pair of bluetooth earbuds, but it's still on delivery and discarding the headphones without trying seems a waste. So I tried to fix it.


With the power of shoes glue...


Fortunately it held quite well...

I was a bit doubtful about the shoes glue being sufficient to hold the piece together considering the tension it need to withstand when I'm wearing it. I tried puting it on and I stand correct, it did well in holding my headphones together and now I can use it in the gym.

EVENING WORKOUT


On the way to the gym...

Going to the gym in the evening is really becoming my cup of tea these past few months. I really can't point out the exact reason why, maybe it's because of my schedule that I have grown to like it, maybe it's the humidity when working during day time tires me out quickly or maybe it's the friendly people I get to workout with in the evening and the calm walk without so much noice going around the city when I'm done with my workout.

EXERCISES


Appreciating the progress and the result of past effort and discipline. I believe that consistency lies within discipline.

I did some chest and tricep workout the evening and the pump was great. My workout tonight consisted 4 chest exercises and 2 tricep exercises. For the chest I did 5 sets of inclined bench press, 3 sets of inclined dumbbell press, 3 sets of dips and finished my chest workout with 3 sets of cable flies to failure. After being done with chest exercises I proceed with tricep workout doing 4 sets tricep extension and 4 sets of tricep pushdowns. And that basically sum up my workout session this evening. By the time I was done it was already 5 minutes before closing time (9 PM), I was the last one left. The caretaker of the gym asked if I was done so he could shut all the lights of and close the gym, I replied saying that I was done and was about to leave, so he proceeds to turn off the lights.


Hahaha last man out...

BANANAS IN THE SIDEWALKS


As I was walking back to my boarding house, I saw some night vendors in the side sidewalks with various of fruit and vegetables laid on the ground on top of sacks. I always buy bananas every chances I get because my diet only revolves around a bad bulk containing fried chicken and other meat dishes I can buy. The bananas was sold for 30 pesos per kilo gram. I bit new for me because when I was buying banana in the same streets before, it was sold by piece. Thinking there's not much of a difference, I bought 2 kilograms which had 15 pieces and this can last about a day or two.

That is all for today's actifit daily miniblog. If you ever made it this far in the blog, I hope it meant that you liked and enjoyed reading through it. I would like to apologize if my "miniblog" seem abit long, or do I have to apologize? To be honest I was a bit carried away while writing the contents of today's miniblog and didn't realize that it was already this long. It literally took me 3-4 hrs conceptualizing and organizing my writing.
