WAKING UP FROM AFTERNOON NAP

IMG20240418180905.jpg
This the image I used in my thumbnail and it was taken around 6 in the evening when I have just woken up... geeez the sight of a beautiful sunset skies. 💛🧡

Imagine you have just woken up and when you go outside, and see this... Such a breath taking scene that anyone can really enjoy. I wish I could have taken a better quality photo though, might upgrade my phone once I saved up. By the time I woke up it was already 6 in the evening and I was sort of running late for my workout. I could have gone straight to the gym but I was feeling really hungry so I had to cook some beef load and have a quick snack since I don't take long to cook and I still got plenty of left over rice enough for 3 meals.

IMG20240418181957.jpg

Some might say that's a lot of rice, but believe or note that wasn't enough to satisfy my hunger. I was suppose to have just a snack but I kept scoping more rice after eating. I was really really reaaaaally full by the time I was done eating. I felt like my belly is going to explode hahaha LOL. I knew that I was going to the gym afterwards and there's really a big chance of throwing up all the food I just ate if I lift to much weight ahahaha. Well I went to the gym regardless.

AN EVENING WORKOUT FOR BACK AND BICEPS

BACK& BICEPS.png
deyymm I lost a lot of muscle mass... sad.

This evening, I'll be doing back and biceps exercises, but first let me tell you something... Working out is just a repetitive process one must undergo in order to achieve their body goals. We can never avoid getting the burnout effect after months and years of constant cycle every single day. I think no one is safe from this, because I not just talking about the concept of burnout in working out but also in everything we do in life. In my case and also a reminder to every one, balance is indeed the key to life. Its important to take care of your body but the importance of taking care of your mind (mental health) is no less. Grind-Push-Rest-Repeat.

IMG20240418204032.jpg

Anyways, back to our evening workout. I did a total of 6 exercises, this contains 3 back exercises and 3 bicep exercises. After doing some stretching and warmups I proceeded in starting my workout. The first workout was a simple barbel rows, where I used 50 kg weight, doing 8 to 12 reps for 5 sets.

IMG20240418202612.jpg
A short random picture while resting in between sets.

The next workout I did was wide grip pulldowns,. This time I did a drop set of 80 lbs and 50 lbs, doing 8 to 12 reps for each weight in a set for 5 sets total. Then I followed with a cable lat pulldowns to really give my lats the burning sensation and pump. For the cable lat pulldown, I only did 50 lb weight and did 8-12 reps for 5 sets.

IMG20240418194707.jpg
where I get my lat gains hahaha

IMG20240418202719.jpg
Another random shots while resting in between sets...

Proceeding with the bicep workout, I did preacher curls, cable curls and cable hammer curls using rope. The preacher curls was first in my bicep workout, I used 20 kg weight for this since it's just the right amount of weight for me cause I overthink that ill tear my biceps, and that would be painful. I did 8-12 reps for 5 sets in preacher curls.

IMG20240418200951.jpg
This is the only workout where I pray to God before executing.

The next bicep workout I did was the cable curls, since the arms was already fatigue at this point I didn't bother to increase the weight anymore. I only used 50 lb weight. I did 8 to 12 reps for 5 sets. And last but definitely and will never be the least, is the cable hammer curls. Well I have biases because hammer curls are my favorite. SO with the same amount of weight, I did 10-15 reps for 5 sets. And with that, my workout session for the night was finally done.

My arms about to fall off... just kidding.

"YOUR GYM IS MY GYM"

IMG_20240418_215642.jpg

I know that some of you that have actually read my blogs, especially here in actifit where I show pictures of the gym I go to, might think that its a horrible place for a gym since its so chaotic and its dirty all over the place. Let me share something...

IMG20240418205847.jpg
#Appreciate

This gym is actually my first gym, ever. This place is where I have started and progressed in my fitness journey, developed my discipline more and I love this place sincerely. The people that I have met here are humble and kind. Maybe I get pissed of sometimes when I encounter really smelly people whom i feel that never took a bath for weeks and still goes to the gym everyday. Despite that, everybody else that goes here are very kind even if they look like they wrestle for fun in the weekends.

IMG20240418210048.jpg

I know that in my picture you see a lot of dirt, stains and ripped floor matting. I see that too and still choose to post it here for you guys to see, because in my head, rust and dirt can be washed of and the ripped mats doesn't do much harm unless you mindlessly walk around the gym. You'll trip on them, guaranteed. What im trying to say is that dirt and rust does not compare with the quality of experience with others in an environment. That's why I love this gym. How about you, would you choose an "okay" place with genuine people or a "great" place with judge mental and fake people?

And just like how the gym is named "YOUR GYM IS MY GYM", the quality of people that goes here and the things we practice really offers new comers a nice welcome.

A SMALL DETOUR WHILE GOING BACK AFTER WORKOUT

IMG_20240418_215300.jpg
After finishing a great workout I have decided to have a little detour while going back at the place where im staying. I went passed Quezon park on the way back to enjoy the street light while having a short walk. I don't know, I just feel like it.

IMG_20240418_215341.jpg

It was quite around the park this time, which made walking along it suite more of my liking. Sometimes I just get bother with the mixing of different music from different corners of the park. That's actually one of the reasons I avoid it sometimes.

#EnjoyTheLittleThings

I also really like the decorative design of the lamps here. Taking the detour was a goood decision that I made tonight. Like a part of me felt satisfied with just walking along side the park in a quite and peaceful night.
