Manchester United legend Michael Carrick has decided to exit the club after his final game in charge as temporary manager.
The Red Devils confirmed the exit of Carrick after their 3-2 victory against Arsenal yesterday.

Carrick's time as United's temporary head coach:

Michael Carrick's time as Manchester United head coach began after Norwegian manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was shown the exit door.
Ever since his time in charge, Manchester United have gone on to play fantastic football leading them to get an unexpected draw against Thomas Tuchel's Chelsea side.
However, prior to his final game in charge against Arsenal, Carrick made it clear to the players that he would not be staying for much longer.

Michael Carrick's explains his decision:

After the appointment of Ralf Ragnick, Michael Carrick was told that he could work with the German in other to bring the best out of the players.
Nonetheless, Carrick choose to do the reverse. Speaking in an interview, the Manchester United legend explained that he believes leaving would be the best option for him.
He expressed happiness over the appointment of Ragnick, and he wished him the best in his new found role as Manchester United manager.

Summary:

No doubt, Carrick has had a great time with Manchester United, and his results against the best of teams in England speak for themselves.
However, a new manager is already on board, so Carrick's decision to leave cannot come as a surprise. He would be missed, and many would hope to see him another time.

He steps down after the match but he is unbeatable in his last 2 matches. 1 win and 1 draw but I think the pressure is too much.
