Today one of my friends called me to inform that there's someone cutting trees on the road side.
He called the Range Forest Officer and had a talk with them.
They are upgrading the road and widening it. There are big trees on the footpath and they are cutting them.
We had a talk with the officials and one of the residents called the police.
The tree cutters had all the required permits and NOC's.
I had a meeting with the Range Forest Officer and they assured me that they will double the plantation in the area to compensate the loss of mature plants.
