How about not burning the tokens, but pooling them on tribaldex?

That would increase the inflation and devalue the tokens, right?
If we burn them and limit supply, isn't that better for the value?

It won’t increase it if you use what is already created anyway.

By pooling it you create a more stable price and arbitrage opportunity between tribaldexpool and the regular market on hive-engine. It also rewards the other liquidity providers with a small transaction fee.

Also the burning doesn’t seem to do so much for the price.

Hello. We earn curation rewards from burn posts. However, we forego authorship rewards. This is beneficial in many ways.

  • The curator may not like the other content(s) shared.
  • The curator may want to quickly exhaust their voting power.
  • The curator may not be interested in producing/consuming content on the blockchain.
  • Tribe token project users/administrators may want to burn a portion of the generated tokens.
  • The user may have staked multiple tokens in a single account. By voting for burn posts, they can earn from all the tokens whose tags are used.

Of course, we share regular content and earn. However, burn posts offer many benefits similar to those listed above.

Providing a way to exhaust voting power is a useful service indeed.

But there is a benefit to increasing liquidity on tribaldex and then arbitraging the price between the regular market and the pool.
