A Day to De-stress

I live in a community that belongs to a popular area of the city of Caracas, it is a space that has its own personality, it is an urbanization which from the very moment of its inauguration back in the late 50's was characterized by hosting low-income families from various places belonging to the periphery of the capital, but mostly share the common feeling of revolutionary struggles and leftist ideology.

Un Día para Desestresarse

Yo vivo en una comunidad que pertenece a una zona popular de la ciudad de Caracas, se trata de un espacio que tiene personalidad propia, es una urbanización la cual desde el mismo momento de su inauguración por allá al final de los años 50 se caracterizó por albergar a familias de bajos recursos, provenientes de diversos lugares pertenecientes a la periferia de la capital, pero en su mayoría comparten el sentir común de las luchas revolucionarias y la ideología de izquierda.

It is in this way that we can understand the characteristics of this specific area of the city, it is thanks to this that we can find several murals and multiple squares alluding to those political tendencies that were characterized by raising the flags of socialism or communism. It is in this way that we can understand that when walking through the Urbanization 23 de enero in the west of the Venezuelan capital we will find many details that are not found anywhere else in this city.

Es de esta forma como podemos entender las características de esta área en específica de la ciudad, es gracias a esto que podemos encontrar diversos murales y múltiples plazas alusivas a aquellas tendencias políticas que se caracterizaron por enarbolar las banderas del socialismo o el comunismo. Es de esta forma como podemos entender que al caminar por la Urbanización 23 de enero en el oeste de la capital venezolana nos encontraremos con mucho detalles que no se encuentran en ningún otro sitio de esta ciudad.

It is this unique feeling that has generated in its inhabitants a great sense of belonging, this is an area of a high political militancy, but at the same time is also characterized by a cheerful spirit and a tireless heart, walking through the streets and squares of this populous parish leaves enter a parallel world within the city, where we can vibrate with the good energies of its people, we can have fun to the fullest listening to various rhythms of salsa, but we can also just walk and stroll enjoying the scenery.

Es este sentir único el que ha generado en sus habitantes un gran sentido de pertenencia, se trata de una zona de una alta militancia política, pero que al mismo tiempo se caracteriza también por un espíritu alegre y un corazón incansable, caminar por las calles y plazas de esta populosa parroquia deja de entrarse en un mundo paralelo dentro de la ciudad, en donde podemos vibrar con las buenas energías de su gente, nos podemos divertir al máximo escuchando diversos ritmos de salsa, pero también podemos solo caminar y pasear disfrutando del paisaje.

That's how this morning I decided to take the day off and just go for a walk to enjoy a sunny morning and a fresh wind, to simply admire the simplicity of this area and at the same time the greatness of its viewpoints, from where we can take a great look at our beloved Caracas.

Es así como en la mañana de hoy decidí tomarme el día y simplemente salir a caminar para disfrutar de una mañana soleada y un viento fresco, para simplemente admirar la simpleza De esta zona y al mismo tiempo la grandeza de sus miradores, desde donde le podemos echar un gran vistazo a nuestra amada Caracas.

I do not know how much time I spent walking, but I can tell you that it was a walk that helped me to enjoy life, which helped me to take several pictures and at the same time connect with that city reality that sometimes escapes us when we are in the comfort of our homes. Today I can say with total conviction that moments and tours like this are very important to maintain a healthy spirit and a clear mind, I am willing to take more days off, so I can continue to feed my creative spirit and enjoy the most of the companies that life gives us.

No sé cuánto tiempo pasé caminando, pero sí les puedo decir que se trató de un paseo que me ayudó a disfrutar de la vida, el cual me sirvió para tomar diversas fotografías y al mismo tiempo conectarme con esa realidad citadina que a veces se nos escapa cuando estamos en la comodidad de nuestros hogares. Hoy puedo decir con total convicción que momentos y recorridos como este, son superimportantes para mantener un espíritu sano y una mente despejada, estoy dispuesto a sacar más días libres, para esta forma poder seguir alimentando mi espíritu creativo y poder disfrutar al máximo de las empresas que nos regala la vida.
